August 27th, 2008 11:27 AMPOKEMON_MASTER_0I guess it works best posting in each other's profile because it'll be obvious that a reply was made the next time one of us logs in.
Woah...the next chapter today! That's awesome! I'll look for it after tennis practice...which will probably be around five. -
August 27th, 2008 10:01 AMtxteclipseOh, I get it. I'm supposed to respond here when you respond on my page. Weee.
So last night, I was up 'til three in the morning writing chapter 23 in my notebook. I now have three of the four segments finished that I planned to finish, but I'm thinking of just posting the freaking thing and bumping the remaining segment to the next chapter. In fact, that may actually work better...I'll probably do it. If so, expect the next chapter today. Finally, right? -
August 26th, 2008 5:36 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0The "Y" is the symbol for gamma, which is a high-energy type of radiation (the most powerful out the three types that radioisotopes can emit).
My avatar is an emblem for a certain character who will (sort of) make an appearance in my next chapter. As for who it is...I can't say, but I picked the letter gamma because gamma rays are high-energy, something that describes a particular talent of the said character...
I need to get going. Just thought I'd do a quick sweep of the forums. I may be back in an hour or two. -
August 26th, 2008 12:53 PMtxteclipseWhat's the "Y" symbol? Looks like an upside-down Half-Life emblem.

August 24th, 2008 3:36 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0It doesn't look like you're on, but I just came to tell you that I posted the next chapter of Elements.

August 22nd, 2008 2:52 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0Ah, I know. It seems that when you send away for free stuff off of cereal boxes (like DVDs) they come almost immediately with no problem. Now if you send away for something that actually costs money (like a part my dad ordered) something goes wrong. Murphy's Law, maybe.
EoL-R is good. It leans more toward techno than EoL did, though. It's still good in its own way. Here...let me give you two of the better songs...
Driving to Heaven (Mat Zo Remix)

Ten Seconds Before Sunrise (First State Remix)

EDIT: I'd better go now. Nice talking...have a good day...all that stuff. I may be on later. -
August 22nd, 2008 2:19 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0So I lied...sort of. I won't have the next chapter up today.
However, I actually have a valid excuse for once. I attempted to download Elements of Life-Remixed from amazon.com, only to have an error occur: my account was charged and the album didn't download. I then spent the majority of the morning on the phone with customer service so that they could allow me to download the album without getting charged again. I am happy, though.
Only problem is, Elements of Life-Remixed is now distracting me, and I don't think that's a valid reason not to write. lol -
August 21st, 2008 7:06 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0I used government-looking agents in black suits and sunglasses. Mine seem more civil though. They don't beat up random people, lol.
EDIT: I'm going to go now. I just had a burst of inspiration. If all goes well, I should be able to publish the next chapter of Elements by tomorrow. As always, nice talking to you. -
August 21st, 2008 6:38 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0Hm...it is kind of hard. Seriousness or comedy. Not to sway your decision, but EC is a bit...dark. I guess it comes down to whether you want to maintain that atmosphere or brighten it up.
I'm thinking...I don't believe I've ever had a character that's humorous. Sure Latias and Nadroj have their moments, but they aren't funny all the time. Miror B., CJ, and Team Miror are probably the closest, and they're more oddballs than purely funny characters...
EDIT: Ah, Gary Stu's Unpredictable Adventure. I finally found something in there that I used in one of my fics. The priest was also pretty laughable. -
August 21st, 2008 6:21 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0I'm not sure...I mean, they both seem to fit. Charizard and Dragonair are both dragon-looking, which would match with the whole medieval-type thing that's in EC. As you said, I suppose it comes down to which you think is best.
As for Elements of Life Remixed, it was released a year after Elements of Life and has all of the tracks (but one) that were featured in Elements of Life, only they're remixed...apparently by a bunch of well-known producers (even though the only one I've previously heard of is Tom Cloud...and I don't know that much about even him). Instead of the last track being the Tiesto's mix of He's a Pirate, it's No More Heroes. The album itself kinda surprised me. Most of the time, remixes aren't as good as the original, but on this, the majority of the tracks are as good (or better than) the original.
And you haven't told me that you saw BGM. Wow...lucky. I've only seen them on TV doing their "How to Be a Megastar" show (which is probably long-past by now). -
August 21st, 2008 5:56 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0Hey...sorry about that mix up. Wait...I'm apologizing for apologizing?...That's strange.
Anyhow, I was dog-sitting my cousin's pug yesterday and I was payed (for doing nothing, really. The dog slept the entire time, which was a surprise. He usually eats everything). I'm thinking now...I'm going to get Elements of Life Remixed. I listened to a few of the tracks and decided that the remixes were pretty good. My favorite track is probably No More Heroes, which was done by Tiesto and the Blue Man Group (I would kill to see both of those in a single concert. Even the Blue Man Group alone would be cool.) Here's a link...

I'm also a bit dismayed at the fact that Pokecommunity is back online. Thankfully, the next chapter of Elements is just about finnished. -
August 14th, 2008 12:09 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0Thanks, and I think I was eleven. Back then I would also go out to the craft store, buy a bunch of Styrofoam balls and draw Pokeball designs in them. They paled in comparison to the Burger King ones. Those would actually hold REAL, plastic Pokemon, and we could clip them onto our belt loops, walk around the yard, and challenge each other.
And yes...perfect circles are difficult. I can do them if I'm on a huge piece of paper. I would just get down on my hands and knees, stretch my arm to its maximum length, and use my knee as a pivot point. Kind of like a giant compass. The only problem is, I don't use huge pieces of paper all that often.
EDIT: I need to go. Nice talking and see you later. -
August 14th, 2008 11:41 AMPOKEMON_MASTER_0My first artistic-work is up, 90 percent pen and 10 percent airbrush from Paint. I'm pleasantly surprised with how it turned out, given the fact that the scanner didn't fully recognize the original after I inked it. I had to do major reconstructive surgery on Samus's hand and helmet. lol
-
August 13th, 2008 12:45 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0Alright...I can change the tones and that does do some good, but it also compromises the color of the paper, making it look like a faded chart that some sort of pirate would carry around...not to mention the fact that the Metroid Fusion logo is blurred. I guess I'll clean it up later. If all goes well I might even add it to my album.
EDIT: I need to go. My sister needs *coughwantscough* the computer. -
August 13th, 2008 12:32 PMPOKEMON_MASTER_0Yeah...and you say that there are options to change the darkness of the lines in the scan? In the initial scan, I can only make out a few lines. Maybe I'll mess around with the program a bit more...
