December 1st, 2011 7:16 PMOtherworld9)Oh really? They are hard though. One of them is all about presenting, which is my weakness at the moment...and careers. The next one I'm getting next semester that's coming is all about preparing for college. To be honest however, I hope I don't forget these skills in 4 years....since I'm going to college in 3-4 years.....or I hope I do. My dad is thinking of getting me off to the University instead, since I can prove my responsibility. I'm not sure however.

December 1st, 2011 7:12 PMKenshin5I was saying other people, shoot I am too lazy to dual enroll. The smart thing would be not to half ass and put things off till the last minute. European History only comes in Honors anyways, so it really doesn't require a whole lot of intellect and even if it did that was my forte in the first place.

December 1st, 2011 7:08 PMOtherworld9)Wow. You seem like you're very intelligent. I'm trying to balance relationships and school though, since high school is very different from middle school....everything is more serious now.

December 1st, 2011 7:02 PMKenshin5Only class where I knew someone was dually enrolled was history my first semester and she had to hurry back and forth. Which if you think about it later on most people have all their credits by the second semester of their Junior year. Senior year is a blow off year so why not dual enroll young. Then you got a lot of people that do half day of school and half day of Tech. Myself I said "Taking European history as Honors and the rest are blow off outside of English IV"

December 1st, 2011 6:55 PMOtherworld9)I'm, currently going to do two dual-enrollment classes this year. Doing one right now. Next year, or spring, I hope will hope to get to College Algebra if I can...I hope so, since my scores as so high in mathematics....

December 1st, 2011 6:50 PMKenshin5I've had courses that are High School level for sure or if not that then easier. Then again it is a community college. I think a lot of the stuff is a teacher by teacher basis. Or if you actually read the material presented.

December 1st, 2011 6:45 PMOtherworld9)Math and Science are my specialty, and I am horrible at reading, so Biomedical Engineering is my choice right now. I'm pretty good at writing though. Must be quite harsh. I've heard college is not as easy as it seems. I'm only a 9th grader after all, I know only a little bit of what college really is capable of...

December 1st, 2011 6:31 PMKenshin5Yeah I had a 5 page paper on a person, place, thing, or incident in Ancient Western Civilization and I picked Peter the Great(albeit not ancient per say). And I turned 5 pages into 15 since I was trying to document a majority of his life. And any Engineer I am not feeling that. I suck at math so taking any Math above College Algebra would probably drive me even more crazy.
-
December 1st, 2011 6:21 PMOtherworld9)Wow. I mean, 15 pages? That's going to be me once I get a paper that's supposed to be 5 I guess. My papers turn out to be 8 when it's only supposed to be 2. :p Well, I want to be a Biomedical Engineer, so I got a lot ahead of me to study and learn...much less engineering...

December 1st, 2011 6:15 PMKenshin5I'd probably go gradually into the Masters program while teaching so that I could teach at a College level at some point. I'm just glad I had Speech which was required, because I gave a speech for Comp and I absolutely hated getting up there(prior to Speech). Then I had a Speech for one of my History classes and had to read a 5 page paper that turned into 15. Yeah I was up there for a good 40+ minutes and I didn't even realize how long I was talking. I think I am more nervous speech in front of peers then some punk kids. Of course time will tell that. If I play it like a majority of the History teachers all they do is assign work and do little lecture. Which I'd prefer to lecture from Power Point at a desk(which means I wouldn't be in front of everyone. Some teachers are crazy though, since my Modern Eastern Civilization Teacher literally lectures 3 hours with absolutely no break what so ever. I don't know how he does it.

December 1st, 2011 6:05 PMOtherworld9)Wow.....bachelor's degree. My dream job requires either a master's or doctor's.....but the only problem I have in school is mostly on oral presentations...the ones you speak aloud to the class in front of your classmates. I was able to lose some of my shyness, but some still remains.

December 1st, 2011 5:58 PMKenshin5What subjects are the ones that you are stressing over? Or is it school life in general?
I've been fine as well, but I have been busy with work lately. Right now I am just focusing on Finals(which are both history classes) and dealing with picking and registering for Spring Semester. Then hopefully by Summer I will have my Associates and work on my Bachelors and then work on a Teaching Degree so I can get around to teaching History on either an Elementary or Secondary basis. -
December 1st, 2011 5:53 PMOtherworld9)I've been fine actually, school putting pressure on me for a while. Not that bad at all really. You?
