One of my favourite scenes is where she's running across the bridge, shedding the many colourful robes she wears; how they contrast against the grey, moonlit surroundings. I understand her desperate longing to break free, it's like your heart is calling you from some far away place.

I haven't had the chance to see much anime outside of Studio Ghibli, really. It's difficult to find any that aren't so archetypal. I did enjoy watching Dragon Ball Z Kai with my siblings, though—the series holds a lot of nostalgia. Gankustuou looks interesting. What's it about?

I even named my Drampa Falkor, haha. I'm not particularly fussy with Pokémon designs in general, with a preference for cute and beautiful ones. I do especially love Lurantis, Zeraora, Mareanie, and the starters.

Thank you, I'll certainly give that a look sometime soon!

Oh yeah, people here mention trivia. You should show me that! We could pair up in something like that!

Can you? Ironically despite not being very keen on a lot of Pokemon, I know too much about it due to anime obsessions as a kid and games, haha! But sadly, my knowledge ends at gen 6, but it could be fun.

With you? A pair up to me means we have as solid of a connection as I already believe we do, haha.
But what that means to you is open. :)

    By the way, this^

I found it from browsing and, what do you say, my good friend? I can't say for suuuure yet the extent of our budding relationship, haha, but it's pretty great and strong in whatever form! Even now!

I can't think of anyone better I'd be willing to pair up with. But only if YOU also want to.

I know you didn't mean it in any offensive meaning, but I definitely like to be equal with you. :P

Still getting the day starting. Making money at the moment before I go out and do other stuff.

    And you?

    I'm a guy, not a boy. :-!
If we're the same age, anyway.

Ha, and you know you don't have to constantly talk in Pokemon terms with me simply because we're here, right? :P

It's not necessary with me, haha. I prefer serious adult talk most times. Just vanilla discussions with no side distractions.

Oh, I'm not worried for you at all, haha. You've proven your fortitude to me a long time ago!

Just saying I imagined my own grief with people I know and like.

You sure you don't want the party instead? I don't need a party to feel better. :-!

Anyway, what got me a bit sad was just something random. My mother was down one day saying a coworker called in I'll one morning, then didn't come in. She regularly went out with other ladies at work, so she and all of them knew her.
Concerned, they called back and got her husband. He said right after calling she wasn't feeling well, she collapsed and was then at the hospital. She had an annurism and was in a coma. Only 45 too.

They were concerned and she was in a coma for a week. And then, well, she died. Never came out of it, kept stroking out. And while I never knew her, I felt sad, just from empathy from my mother's reactions, and imagining it happening to me. That someone I like just vanishing so abruptly like that, and it's a horrible thought.

Since you were gone at that time too, I imagined it on you among others, etc, and that's what got me down. It's always sad and frightening.

I mean, nothing too bad or anything, but I guess I just project a lot of emotions I absorb.

    Same with you! :)

You probably have a lot of topics to go through is all, haha. It'll be great to have more discussions in them too. And you're always such a great contributor too! It's felt a bit lacking without your posts sometimes.

Things are going okay for me! Kinda felt off and a bit sad at times this week, but that's another story. I try not to let those things diminish me, but I still think about them?

And you? Was last week just out of the ordinary bad for you? I'm concerned about it.

You know you can always talk to me about it if you ever need to though.

But I'm so happy you're back! And I hope things will get better now. :)

Haven't seen you for awhile now, which seems out of the ordinary for you.

I hope things are still going well for you still and nothing bad has happened. I miss talking with you.

Sand Veil is a nice ability but it can be frustrating if your attacks miss because of it especially considering the somewhat inaccurate Blizzard is one of the best ways to defeat Garchomp.

Yes. Squirtle was my first ever Pokemon when I played my first Pokemon Game Blue. In Gen 1 I always had a Pikachu on my team and never evolved him as I thought he was more powerful as a Pikachu similar to Ash's Pikachu in the anime. I like Venusaur and Charizard too but Blastoise is my favourite Kanto starter because of its design and it was my first ever fully evolved starter.

I think Alolan Ninetales was partly made because Game Freak realised Ninetales needed something to shine after losing its status as the main drought user to Charizard Y. Alolan forms helped highlight forgotten or overlooked Kanto Pokemon like Marowak and Raichu. My favourite Alolan form is Ninetales but my most used is Marowak. I have both a Shiny Male (Which is purple) and a female Totem Marowak.

Venusaur is base 80 speed I think whilst Lilligant is base 90. Venusaur does have a much deeper movepool than the Flowering Pokemon and is a great choice for a Sun team. Lilligant however is my favourite Pokemon and outspeeds everything in the Sun (Except some Scarf users). Bloom Doom is a very damaging move from Lilligant although I had to use Hyper Beam more often than I'd like. I'm still surprised Lilligant was not retconned into Grass/Fairy type along with Whimsicott. Also considering Lilligant is a Moon Exclusive it would have been fitting for her to use Moonblast. Strangely Oddish can learn Moonblast.

Aura Sphere would make Mega Gardevoir even stronger as Steel Pokemon suddenly become unsafe switches. Mega Gardevoir would still not be broken though as its defences are still low and it falls to Bullet Punch. It could be faster too. Psychic Terrain stops all priority moves as well as upping the power of Psychic moves making it very fitting for Mega Gardevoir.

I picked up DVDs of both the Latias/Latios movie and Pokemon 4ever featuring Celebi. Strangely they were the only Pokemon movies available there. I have only seen the First Pokemon Movie (At the Cinema no less) and have not watched the anime for a long time. It will be nostalgic for me to watch the two Pokemon movies. :)

Towards the end I thought she would turn back and finally live the life she wanted. It made me sad for the parents, and I felt a stab when the moon people placed the robe on her shoulders. Despite the art style of their faces being simple, somehow there was so much emotion behind them.

I thought Celesteela seemed familiar! I see it in a different light now. Gen 7 didn't quite live up to my expectations, but I really liked some of the Pokémon it introduced. ^_^

Like I said in the forum games thread, you seem like a person with refined taste. At least, that's the impression you give. :)

Aight thanks for letting me know! My weekend so far has been a bit draining due to work and my bike breaking on my way home, but other than that things are pretty swell.

I watched Princess Kaguya recently in honour of Isao Takahata. :) It's like nothing I've ever seen, retaining the magic of other Ghibli films, yet true to Takahata's unique style. I can relate to Kaguya in certain ways, and was sad in the end when she returned to the moon.

I already knew you had great taste, Sam, but this confirms it! ^_^
