you mean if you had a shiny porygon and you accidentally reset or something? yeah it's possible, but it's not 100% guaranteed. you still have a 1/8192 chance in getting a shiny the next time.

No, i dnt think so. Did you get that shiny porygon? there something i have to tell you though. make shure you put that porygon in your party once and awhile. i once caught a orange graveler, put in my box and forgot about it. when i went to get it it it wasnt there anymore. i found out that shiny pokemon tend to dispear if not used or interacted with. just keep an i on it ^_^ oh and i see your fairly new so welcome to the forums! hope you enjoy it! and dont be afraid to ask me about anyother question you have about pokemon, im a wiz when it comes to this stuff!

If you were chaining like in DPPt, then yes, that would break the chain. If you're just soft resetting, then no, it's perfectly fine to turn off the DS and take another shot later.

Oh goodness, no. Once it's shiny, you better keep it and save. The chances are 1/8000 or something like that. If you get a shiny and you reset it again, it won't be shiny and you'll have to do it all over again.
