Well, I have a little brother who used to get me up at around four in the morning when he was younger, so I'm in the habit of getting up early and sleeping at night. I could change, since he's grown out of the habit, but...eh, why bother. It'd only confuse my body clock. xD
Variety is the spice of life, as they say...whoever the hell "they" are, I've always wondered that...odd phrases. Truth be told, I'm an apatheist, so we differ a little there as well. I can live with it if you can. xD
Indeed! I realise that most people are on forums to just kick back and have fun, but to me, intellectual conversations ARE fun. I've found that on forums dedicated to debate and such, people take things a little TOO seriously for my personal philosophy...it's nice to find a happy medium, as such~

...not to mention you don't have to wait as long for the conclusions. I've been following the Riftwar Cycle since Talon of the Silver Hawk was released in 2002, so I've been waiting 9 years now for him to finish the series...with 2 years still left to go. It's absolutely bloody infuriating. xD

Aah, could you possibly be one of those few people I have met on the internet who actually sleeps in the evening? Most people I know like to stay up until 3am or so, for some arbitrary and utterly confusing reason I've never been able to figure out. xD

Ahaha, I have that effect on fellow fantasy readers sometimes! The Riftwar Cycle spans about three generations. I'd say the later novels aren't quite as good, but they could still build up to something epic.
I've read all the Shannara books as well, up to the most recent one, which is sitting on my shelf. The Wishsong was my favourite novel until I discovered the Malazan Book of the Fallen!

Have you read Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy? He's finishing the Wheel of Time series, and he isn't too bad a writer.

I like Pratchett's personification of Death, but not much else. Probably because I read Eddings first...

The Belgariad and the Malloreon both! The Redemption of Althalus, also by Eddings, was actually my first fantasy novel, and I'm extremely fond of the Elenium/Tamuli as well. Eddings is a fantastic writer; he has a wonderful sense of humour that puts Pratchett (who, in my opinion, is vastly overrated) to shame.

Have you ever read anything by Raymond E. Feist? His Riftwar Cycle should be coming to a close within the next couple of years, after about thirty books...

Ahhh thank you so much :) I do miss him terribly, so so much, it's just horrible that he isn't here anymore. But! It's getting better...slowly but surely, it feels less like a gaping black hole and more like a managable-sized hole. He was just my little baby, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I loved him more than some of my human relations!!!

But thank you for the support <3 - I've got the RP up and running now, so that's something to help distract me I guess!! I can just lose myself in the character for a few hours a day
