Yes, I think that's the way it works. For your last question, you have to check from the Templates. When a new OW is added or resized its entire Data is deleted and pasted over from the Templates (The ones in the Files/ folder, which are the Data for each OW Type). So the "new" OW's slot will always be the Template's slot.

And now that you mention it, by not being able to edit the slot even if a new OW had a palette from the original game then that OW will also appear distorted (since they won't use the slot their palette is set to).

Changed my mind :P. The Palette Slot Editor is coming back. I'll release it in the next days.

Yes yes, you got it right. The only thing here is that slot 0 is used for the hero, so if you set an OW with different palette to that slot then the hero's palette will also change. This pretty much leaves us to only use slot 0xA for OWs with new palettes (different from the games original ones).

Hey there Anthroyd, how you've been?

Well, you are right. I was debating a lot if that feature was useful and in the end I leaned towards no, hence it is nowhere in the GUI. Although, I people do find it helpful i'll gladly add it back. What do you think, should I add it back?

Good luck with the video! I'm also up for skype sessions if you want to discuss a little bit more in-depth on how it is working.

    Hi Anthroyd,
I'm sorry for not seeing this earlier. Unfortunately, because of a few recent events, I have not had time to work on them. I am trying my best to progress with this project and will release them as soon as possible.

It's definitely a worthwhile skill to learn when it comes to ROM hacking, though takes some commitment. There will be people to help if you get stuck :)

Check 0x2023E8A to figure out of the last battle was won or lost. It should be 0 if you lost the battle & the routine ran. Else it will be 1 if you won normally.

I assume it worked now, and yes the table needs to be terminated with 00s because that's how the routine determines it's finished running all the other routines :)

"The last pointer in the routine NEEDS to be 00 00 00 00." Did you do this too? It should read last pointer in the table of routines, but I make a small typo :)

The ".word 0x[pointer to routine table]" was replaced with: 0xFFFA00.

    Replace it with ".word 0x8FFFA00"
