I acknowledge your opinion, but unfortunately I cannot agree with it. I think it's best if we agree to disagree, I don't think discussing it further will change anything.

You certainly have the right to believe differently than me. However, I feel equally intolerant of people who place the life of a dung beetle on the same level as a human life. The reason humans are deserving of morality is because we have the capacity to choose our own life; we are not creatures ruled purely by instinct. People can have hopes, dreams, ambitions. They can create their own purpose for which to live. Depriving them of the potential to pursue those ends is something I find intolerable. Animals, however, have none of these things. However interesting their anatomy and whatever physical strength they may possess, they will never have dreams or ambitions. They cannot create a purpose for themselves. Their life is a simple interpretation of instinctual cues, no different from a computer or other machine except perhaps in the attachments we form with them. And, as you hinted at, a pack of hungry lions certainly won't care about our hopes or dreams, not unlike a sociopath murderer. I see no reason why I should treat them on the same level as humans.

I did not watch the video for more than 30 seconds or a minute, so I did not hear people laughing. If that was what was happening, then those people must have been extremely desensitized to violence, which is probably a result of their culture and upbringing. I won't claim to understand such a culture, but perhaps some changes should be introduced if it is one that encourages violence. Violence against animals has been correlated with violence against humans, and while I'd rather not see either, the latter is completely intolerable.

I don't appreciate your condescending attitude; please try to discuss this in a respectful manner. I apologize for misspelling "propaganda;" typos happen.

I understand that what appears to occurs in the video certainly appears to be inhumane, but you yourself admitted that PETA selectively publishes things that help their agenda. What is shown is likely the exception, not the rule. Additionally, the people who are involved with this are in a situation to which I think neither of us could relate. Parts of China have a very low standard of living, and this business (regardless of how they conduct it) is likely all they can do to scrape by a living. These people probably don't have the money to spend on tools to ensure humane treatment of the animals.

Personally, it doesn't bother me much, at least not on an intellectual level. It's a shame that better treatment isn't possible, but I hardly think that it's some horrible atrocity. These are only animals; they lack even the capacity to understand what is going on, nor could they ever develop such a capacity. Meanwhile, there are hundreds of millions of people suffering similarly horrifying fates whose plights remain unknown by the masses. I think that is an issue that is far more important.

Really? I actually really disliked generation three. I started playing pokémon last November — my parents didn't like me playing video games for some reason when I was a kid. And Idunno, I played yellow, then leafgreen, then crystal, then platinum, and then I triiiied to play emerald, but the switch back from the 3dish graphics gave me a headache —I remember when I first started playing Platinum I'd get a headache after half an hour. And then I really didn't much like the pokémon, and I felt like the map was totally incoherent with no playability. The plot was a little bit more developed than the other games, though.

PETA publishes propaganda skewed to their own set of beliefs. It's worth noting that they kill over a thousand animals per year at their headquarters on the east coast.

    Mnn, yeah, I did see.
Some of them made me go like "Uhmwhatwereyouthinking."
But I really do like some of them, and I really WANT to like this generation. So I'm just going to ignore some of the ugly ones.

I thought homeschooling is when you also hire a tutor to teach you on the various subjects.

Also, have you seen the B/W Pokemon's new stats?
