About Me
- About Sweet Serenity
- Quick Self-Introduction
- My name is Serenity and I appreciate that you took the time to read my profile. Get to know me a little.
- Biography
- Simply put, I love playing Pokémon. My favorite aspect of Pokémon is capturing Pokémon in the wild, as nothing is more satisfying than the brief flash of a PokéBall after that fourth vibration and attempting to complete the PokéDex. My favorite Pokémon generations are five (Unova) and seven (Alola). I also share my full name with an in-game Pokémon ability, which I thought was pretty cool.
- Interests
- Other than gaming, I love reading fantasy and crime mystery novels to lose myself in my vivid imagination, and science textbooks to help me further understand the composition of our world, writing poetry and stories to share my vivid imagination with you, and studying to learn new things regarding all subjects during my spare time so I could become a tiny bit less stupid. I also enjoy writing songs with hopes that I could one day become a famous musician that could touch the hearts of millions in a lovely way.

Does Baxcalibur Hold a Candle to Other Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon?

After viewing the feed on my tablet, I came across an article titled "Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Baxcalibur Doesn't Hold a Candle to Other Pseudolegendary Pokémon" published on Gamerant written by a writer named Smangaliso Simelane. I went to the article hoping to read a thorough, well-written opinion piece on how Baxcalibur...

Competitively, Electivire Is Not As Bad As You May Think

Now for an entry based upon one of my all-time favorite Pokémon, Electivire. Before I begin with the entry, allow me to share some brief history about how Electivire became one of my all-time favorites. When I first began playing Pokémon, I always transferred an older Zapdos to my primary teams nearing the post-game as my main go-to Electric-type...

Building a Competitive Singles Team Around the Grass/Dark Type Combination
Continuing on with my post regarding everything about the Grass/Dark-type combination, to better understand how to utilize the Grass/Dark-typing in battle, I will build some example teams around a Grass/Dark-type Pokémon. Considering that Zarude is the best Grass/Dark-type Pokémon to use in competitive play currently, I will build my teams around Zarude, which will be a basic balanced team for Singles competition....

Everything about the Grass/Dark Type-Combination
On July 1st, 2022, I replied to a thread that asked for opinions on the Grass/Dark type combination. While the thread starter was convinced that the Grass/Dark typing was the worst possible type-combination, I respectfully disagreed and shared my reasons as to why I believed it wasn't the worst type-combination and even mentioned many positive aspects about the Grass-type and the Grass/Dark combination. However, the user that started...

Yes, for some reason, I actually took the time to do this, which was calculate the percentage that every possible type-combination in the game, used or unused, can hit all Pokémon super effectively with STAB, including all forms. It took me a week to gather this information. I was curious about how different type combinations can hit other Pokémon with super effective STAB, and couldn’t find much information online, so I decided to do the research myself, take some notes after uncovering the...
