We don't know... it starting freezing up constantly whenever he would go online (and less frequently even when he didn't). I took a look at it but I couldn't find any spyware or anything rogue that would be causing it, so it's probably a hardware issue (he uses one of those laptop cooling pads with it so I don't think heat is an issue). Fortunately I don't have to share my computer with anyone... I just have to worry about having a usage cap on my internet.

It's an hour long show, and though it's a series the episodes aren't really linked... they profile a different scam artist each time but some of their tricks are very interesting... like the guy who rolled into a town and scammed the local church and its members out of thousands of dollars, or the one who gave out financial advice on the local news while conducting his scheme...

You fared better than my brother, who had to drop $300+ on a new laptop today (OUCH!) and found out his printer isn't compatible with WIndows 8... as a side note I HATE the new Windows 8 interface... But I am getting kinda lonely on here since nobody else has been talking to me lately and I really don't have anything to post about...

Well it's not actually a movie, it's a series that profiles real life scam artists. I find it interesting since I have a college degree in finance and I find the criminal justice system to be an interesting topic of discussion.

I'm afraid there's been no updates regarding these games, just the bizarre and sometimes ludicrous speculations of the peanut gallery. I swear, some of the ideas presented by people about what these games should have are downright ridiculous. I think it's coming out in October, so about a year since B2/W2, which is not enough time IMO. But at least you don't have to pick it up right on release date. And frankly, that female trainer is the ONLY thing I'm liking about it so far... that grass starter looks like it belongs in the Happy Tree Friends webseries, and I never really cared for that one... The other two ain't much better.

My brother said that once he buys a 3DS XL, I can get his old 3DS... of course with him having to buy a new computer, he's been set back on that goal a bit xD I'm actually borrowing it now in anticipation of Fire Emblem Awakening which I'm supposed to get from Amazon sometime next week.

Hmmm... Check to see if the computer cooling fan is running... if it is you might need to buy one of those cooling pads. If the fan's dead, I think you'll have to end up replacing it... maybe replace that charger as well since it seems to be overheating too. My brother is still having issues with his computer... I took a look at it the other day but couldn't find anything wrong; I'll look at it again when he's web surfing on the weekend to see if it's the browser that's causing his to lock up.

I did see Annie (I think in school way back when), but there's a whole bunch of movies that I haven't watched that most people would think everybody has watched... there's plenty of movies I haven't seen, lol... I've come to prefer anime... or shows like American Greed. Ever seen that? Once they did a special on Bernie Madoff's life behind bars, lol

Well, I've had issues with my service provider (not my computer itself) so if I'm not on for a while, that means I'm yelling four letter words at a customer service rep :P

Ah laptop troubles... I had to replace mine a few weeks ago and my brother told me today HE'S having trouble with his locking up and running slowly... hope he doesn't have to replace his too... He wants me to take a look at it next weekend; hopefully I can fix it for him as I've had to get rid of viruses and malware off it in the past.

Okay, but I really do like my movies with cars (see my username). Either cars or anime cuties lol. I'd be willing to bet I'm the only person to write Pokemon related stories that involve car chases xD

Same here (then again I said the same thing about W2 and ended up getting it, despite the presence of my most hated and the most overrated character in the franchise). Of course the difference is this time around I'd have to buy a system in addition to just the game. And my budget is tight enough as it is:/ And quite frankly, I've given up on the X/Y section of the site now. It's very little information and way too much people speculating and throwing out random ideas, 90% of which are horrible ideas that I hope DON'T make it into the game.

Oh, the Pokemon anime... I haven't watched that disaster in years, lol

I think the problem is, there isn't anything that really excites me on the movie or TV front, and the music has gone downhill... The most recent movie I watched was Skyfall, the latest James Bond one. That movie you mentioned... are there lots of car chases and stuff exploding in it?

I know I'd rather have actual 3-D instead of that fake battle scene 3-D like they attempted in the 5th gen games (3-D and sprites do not mix). I'm not sure how moving around in the world is gonna work this time around either. I'm hoping for some more gameplay videos to see exactly how that's going to be pulled off. I'm actually kinda disappointed that we're getting it at the same time as the Japanese... I like to have Pokemon games come out there first so I can get a feel for the actual game and whether they're worth picking up. This time around, I feel like I'm jumping in blindly if I do get them...

I'm just completely out of the loop when it comes to modern music... I think somewhere around 2001 or so I just stopped listening to radio altogether and relied on my MP3 collection on my computer to entertain me. Same thing with TV and movies, actually... the only media I do keep up with is anime, actually.

Sapphire and Emerald are... somewhere... we moved a couple years ago so they're probably in a box in a storage shed somewhere lol. At this point there's no way I'm getting a 3DS anytime in the near future. Oh well.

As for me, I only take the time to memorize the Pokemon I like and would actuaqlly have a chance of using... there's over 600 of 'em now and there's no way I could possibly remember all of them - much less their types or how best to confront them in battle. My play through W2 was mostly trial and error, as I'm *still* not used to the fifth generation of Pokemon.

Well, I just had an anime convention last weekend that was a lot of fun - it was a vacation for me too as I went *quite* far away from home and stayed in a hotel that was quite a bit more luxurious than I usually stay at. But yeah, I had a great time, saw some really good cosplays, and spent a lot of money on stuff lol. Other than that, not much happening around here... that's the big drawback of living in a small town. Nothing goes on and I can't wait to move.

Music wise, I mostly listen to older stuff so I have no idea who those singers/groups are that you mentioned lol. I'm actually into the pop/chart music but from way back... like the 1980's and 1990's xD

At one time, I had a game from each gen... but where my Blue, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, and Emerald games are now, I couldn't tell you. Well, actually my brother found my old Blue version but it doesn't save anymore, so... And the thing is, I don't even have a 3DS yet, so when these games do come out, it's gonna be at least $200 for both system and game. Which I cannot afford right now and I don't even know if I'll able to by October considering there's a good chance I'll be moving over the summer. Not enough of the games has been revealed for me to form really good opinions on it, but the 3D at the very least is going to make these games feel very different (I have a feeling it'll be the same battle engine though).

Well if nothing else, at least we know we'll be getting a good-looking girl trainer:)

Yeah I thought the same thing. Shame that such a cute trainer design is being used for such a mediocre game :/ I don't have access to a 3DS at all and I don't know if I can save up enough for one by the fall... I definitely hope there isn't another Fighting-Fire type starter... there are already too many of those. I know I'm not using the grass starter since I never go with grass so it's between the other two.

LOL I don't know which of the two I'll get. but if Meowth/Persian appears in one and not the other, that could be the deciding factor. And I'll probably end up using mostly old Pokemon anyway. Kinda like I did for W2 actually :P

Even if I could transfer my save data I don't know that I'd want to start my W2 over again... it took me like 70+ hours to beat it lol.

I'm really hoping these new games turn out to be good despite what we've seen so far. I really want to like them if for no other reason than the cute girl trainer you play as.

Yeah I really only played through White 2 once, but that was also because I currently have level 91 Pokemon and a level 29 Join Avenue and certainly don't want to lose those xD

Right now I'm really liking the design of the female trainer from X/Y. Other than that the graphics are okay-ish and the starters look weird... maybe they'll grow on me in the months to come, maybe not. But really these games are coming out only a year after B2/W2 so it's definitely too soon. So yeah right now the only thing drawing me into these new games is the new girl trainer. Time will tell if these games have anything else to attract me...

BTW in B2/W2 I ended up going with Samurott, Liepard, Ampharos, Espeon, Flygon, and Vespiquen as my main party team.

I have played through most of White 2 and actually wrote my thoughts on it. Overall a pretty good game, but not without its problems. Other than that not too much happening, besides that awesome anime convention, that is xD

Oh, as far as the Thunderstone, is the big store still there on route 9? I think you got it in B/W by talking to someone in there. You could also try the clouds of dust in caves, but that way could take a while to find them... I believe they're pretty rare...

Alright, just watch out for those Dark types... and other Ghost types :P

My Pokemon nicknames always seem to be random, like random names of people :) Eh, you're probably better off with Lampent... physical Fire doesn't work so well IMO since the strongest physical Fire move has that nasty recoil... same with physical Electric attacks :/ And I have no intention of keeping Eevee as an Eevee for the whole game. If I'm going to have to go without a Thunderstone I might as well go with Eelektrik since at least it is an Electric type and can use attacks of the sort.

But you did find a Fire Stone... maybe Thunderstones are in the game... Oh, do they still have those dust clouds in the caves like in B/W? I think you can rarely get evo stones from them in B/W and they might be the way to get them in B2/W2... And yay, with the experience system, these games needed the Vs. Seeker BADLY...

Yeah, it's probably get all 8 badges or do something with Plasma before you can pass... but I hate it in games when there's something blocking the way and it's totally unclear how you're supposed to pass... It's quite annoying...

Probably for Eevee, it's best to give it the Everstone till you're somewhere where it can evolve into what you want. But if there's indeed no Thinderstone, I'm gonna need to seriously rethink my team :/ Oh, has anyone given you anything like a Vs. Seeker? If any games needed one it's 5th gen, and I was not happy that it was left out of B/W. Actually, have you found any evo stones besides the Thunderstone? If they're gone, chances are they removed all of the stones :/

Well, I checked some sites and they have conflicting info about Trapinch... one said is isn't found at all and another said it's in the desert resort with 5% odds of coming across one. So either way it's gonna be a long time before it shows up, if it does at all.

People just can't accept others' opinions, particularly when they're so rabid about getting these games... it's like they're totally blind to the flaws and when one gets pointed out they go ballistic...

Dang... No Trapinch and no Thundersone means I'm totally lost at who my team will be now... my backup ground type would be Krookodile, but then that would mean I would have to get Delcatty because Krookodile already has Dark covered for me... and then I'd have to use Ampharos because IIRC Eelektrik evolves via Thunderstone too... arrgh... let me know if you happen to find one later on then...

Okay... couldn't the "good" ones change their name to something else, like Team CashMoney or something... having good and evil guys going by the same name can be confusing... I know since more than once my college's football team went up against another school with the same mascot - yeah, I think even the announcers who were calling the game got confused :P Believe me, Game Freak is sexist about a lot of things, and that's only the tip of the iceberg... I don't think we've ever had a female evil team leader.

And now they apparently have good and still-evil factions of Plasma? I can't really say if I'd use any of N's old Pokemon, since my team is pretty much set in stone, but...

Well, Mareep is supposedly found way back on the starting routes... did you happen to encounter one? And you could always catch another Eevee and make it Jolteon (depending on where the Thunderstone can be found). And Crobat is so much more awesome than Swoobat. I used a Crobat in both XD Gale of Darkness, Pearl, and Platinum, and it rocked.

Hmmm... if Eevee is that rare, I might have to fall back on another Electric type... but apparently it's somewhere in the area, I guess you just have to trigger some event to get it... or something...

I don't pay much attention to the minigames, but if Pokewood is even worse than the musicals (which I tried once and had no idea what was going on) then I think I'm better off steering clear, lol. Desert area seems to be the logical place to find Trapinch as that's where it showed up in previous games. Hopefully it's not too rare, like Eevee seems to be xD

Hmm... I seem to recall that you could find a Thunderstone in Chargestone Cave in B/W... but maybe I'm wrong about this. I hope you can find one, I'm not gonna waste time looking for an Eevee to have it remain an Eevee through the post-game. Challenge mode? Sounds like something else to make things more complicated than they need to be.

I don't think I've ever bought a Japanese version of a game, and I only tried a Japanese ROM of Platinum (which I couldn't end up getting working, of course). I can pick up some spoken Japanese because of my anime watching, but not written. I'd be totally lost, lol

Oh yeah, I thought this was a place where I could post my opinions and have people respect them, but apparently not; I posted about the whole Leaf and you-know-who matter in my blog and people were very quick to attack me about it... I just had to go in and delete a whole bunch of very nasty comments. I know, no sense of style... I don't find any of the guys likeable, and even the girls, I think they should wear something more modest. I mean, yeah, these are trainers and not Fortune 500 execs, but do they have to look that unprofessional and casual? And that's why Lisa was born, to buck that trend :P I know I'd want my trainer to wear cute outfits given half a chance... I think it would be a very nice change of pace from the typical outfits they've been giving us.

Oh Team Plasma... always doing something ridiculous and over-the-top... why can't you guys stick to a believeable scheme, like bank robbery, gun smuggling, or wire fraud? That would be a LOT more interesting than trying to use a legendary you know you won't be able to control...

Okay, so Eevee is between badges 2 and 3, thanks... Hopefully the Thunderstone isn't too far ahead... I don't want to wait half the game in order to unleash electrical mayhem xD Or I could always trade it over (I might have sold my White, but my brother still has his Black).

If it's anything like B/W, I'd probably spend copious amounts of time level grinding too xD But that sucks, being stuck in some place with no way to get out... it's almost like being in prison :/
