  • Been forever since we saw you, really hope your life is going well! You're missed :(
Let's see... I got a DVD (Pretear), manga volume (Aria vol. 2), a couple non-custom keychains (including one of Sailor Mercury) and my custom keychains were of some of the Pokemon girls, including my fan-made trainer Lisa. Oh yeah, and some autographs :) It was over 24 hours both ways since I rode there and back on a Greyhound bus. But the conventions near where I live aren't too great, and the one there was one I attended back in 2010 when I went to school there so it wasn't totally unfamiliar.

Unfortunately, I think my allergies arew going to be a bother for the rest of winter. And it's not actually the allergies themselves but the medicine I take for them - one of the side effects is sleepiness and when I take the stuff it knocks me out like a light. Right now, I'm divided about the new games... I really, REALLY like the design of the girl trainer, but the 3D graphics just don't look like they belong in a main Pokemon game. And I really don't care for the starters all that much, I'll have to see if they grow on me. I'll need a 3DS too, but I might get my brother's once he gets a 3DS XL - that could take awhile now since he just had to pay $300 to replace his computer...

Okay, I'll let you know :) I'm looking forward to my move more than ever now, especially since my neighbors here seem to drink too much beer and get into loud fights just about every day - I hate waking up every morning to slamming doors, and loud cursing:/
It was great! Really nice hotel, lots of awesome cosplays, and some interesting panels too. And I probably spent too much money in the Dealer's Room and Artist's Alley, lol. Even had some custom keychains made for me that I'm waiting for to be shipped to my place. And yes, it was worth traveling 900 miles by bus to attend :)

No worries, I've been less active here too due to allergy season and not having a lot to talk about/do here (Pokemon is kinda on the back burner for me right now). And if all goes well, I'll be moving myself sometime next summer (to the city where the anime convention was, so I'll be much closer next year :P ) Good luck on the new house, I know I'll need the same when I move...
Hey, it's been awhile! My Christmas was okay, considering we just sat home all day... had a good prime rib dinner though :P

Now then, we were talking about anime conventions? I'm going to another one next week (weather permitting, which I think it should) and I'll be doing my Blue/Leaf cosplay again... but maybe with black tights since it'll be a bit cold in just a skirt lol
Hey, I think you meant to post this in my profile... don't worry, I've made the same mistake before, countless times :P

Yeah, she was at this college-run anime con in Columbia, SC (where the big voice actors typically only go to the big cons). She (Caitlin Glass) seemed pretty cool, though there was a huge line behind me for autographs so I couldn't talk with her for long.

I don't do much streaming either unless I'm at the library where the connection is actually somewhat fast... I hate my connection at home. I've actually never heard of that show... how is it? What's it about?

Oh, they are, even if you go alone you meet a lot of great people... and if you go into the gaming rooms, you can get your fill of Pokemon battles... a whole bunch of people bring their games :)
You met the voice actress? That is so cool! What is she like in real life?

I want to get princess jellyfish next, but its so expensive for just a few episodes. I can't stream really as my Internet here is so slow.

It sounds like conventions are a lot of fun, I still think I would be too shy to go to one on my own... But maybe i should!
Well, I usually go alone anyway, and you should totally go to one, they're like the events of the year for me :P I'm not skilled enough to make my own costumes, lol. So far I've gone as Blue/Leaf (a costume I paid to have someone custom-make), Giovanni (which was just me wearing a suit with a red "R" pinned to it xD) and a school uniform from the To Heart series that I ordered off eBay.

I know, it takes a long time to level up and the main conflict (with Team Plasma) doesn't really start up till after the fifth badge... more than halfway into the game (before it's just a few random Grunt battles). I actually watched Ouran on streaming video a while back (so I don't have the DVD's) but I do remember it being one heck of a fun time :) I actually met Haruhi's English voice actress for the dub at a convention this past April :)
That sounds cool. In addition to Halloween, I like to cosplay at anime conventions, and sometimes I'll reuse those cosplays for Halloween. I even won a costume contest or two with them :)

I'm kinda dividing my time between the game and other things, actually. So far it's good, but getting my Pokemon to the proper level before a gym is quite tedious... it's why my attention gets drawn to other stuff. Like anime, for instance :P
Yep... and I hear ya about the games... I can only play for about two or three hours a day before I get bored/sleepy... I don't know how others can play them for long stretches of time, lol

I like Halloween because you (a) get to dress up as you wouldn't normally and (b) get free candy :P
Yeah, we're pretty much in the clear now... my parents lost power for two days but now I guess they've got it back now.

Okay, I mean, maybe they'll end up doing a good job with it, and it's probably better to focus on other things you need to do rather than stuff that's already been done.

They did have a Halloween parade for the little kids, so I went and watched that (even got a bot of candy from others :P) It was cold and nasty but it's my favorite holiday so I wanted to get out and do something :P As for Pokemon I'm somewhere between the second and third gyms now. It's alright so far, though I haven't gotten into the main part involving Plasma yet, so I'm hoping everything picks up once that happens.
So far, so good... I haven't lost power yet and it looks like the worst of the wind is past us... right now it's just rain we're dealing with here.

Well, I'd be angry if I heard that, after spending all that time working on it. Especially if the other person doesn't see the art... how would they know what design would go well with it? I don't understand why they would do that at all.

Well, it ain't too warm here either :P Oh, if you have any more questions for me, that thread seems to have died out, so ask away! I invite multiple questions and things completely unrelated to Pokemon, BTW xD

Hope everything goes well for you and hopefully the worst is really behind us as far as weather is concerned... it'll still be rainy and cold for Halloween but the winds aren't supposed to be too bad so I might try to brave the elements :P
Roxie is Homika right? The Poison one? I haven't played it yet but I've seen art and she looks very cool x3 Uni life is going great thanks! There's a lot of work and not much time to do it in, but I'm loving it so far. The people are amazing and the course is really interesting so it's looking like it'll be a fun couple of years :)
Same things with vacations xD And the fact that I had a king size bed to myself instead of the tiny little bed I have at home xD

That sounds good, hopefully they'll like it so you get the okay on that! As for me, probably no plans for Halloween now that we're supposed to be under heavy rain and wind for the whole week (thanks Hurricane Sandy - NOT!) If it was nice I might have gone somewhere like a party or somewhere to give out candy to some of the kids in town but... not in weather this bad, lol
Indeed it was :) Unfortunately, the party's over and I'm back home now... I liked that hotel room a lot more than my room back home, lol

So, how have you been doing?
