Heart Gold. Played it for a while. Wild Flaaffy appeared. Shiny. I caught it.

Victory is mine. I defeated the Champion. My team at that point was: Manectric (65), Lapras (67), Pidgeot (70), Delphox (77), Mightyena (81) and Sylveon (84).

So I basically beat Kalos in a week.

Not sure if you saw the posts about the Poke Bank, but because there will be a free trial, you should be able to still transfer things over before the trial ends

I guess the only other piece of advice is for black/white 2. When using the join avenue, you can get a character who owns a workout/restaurant (I forget which one). This would allow you to have your Pokemon Ev trained in a certain stat, for a price.

By all means use your favorites, just be aware of restrictions for official/un-official tournaments if you choose to enter one.

What game are you having trouble with ev training in? I may be able to help you more easily if I do know. Also have you heard about super/core training in X & Y? They should make it a lot easier to ev train.

It really depends on if you're battling competitively or casually. For example, If you were to just battle for fun online, then there's absolutely no problem with using whatever you like. However, if you were to enter a tournament/battle on a simulator, then you'd need to adhere to their tier lists.

I saw your signature and thought I may as well help out.

The time EV training takes varies greatly depending on a large amount of factors, e.g whether or not a pokemon is using a Macho Brace or similar items. You can also use vitamins to speed it up somewhat, but i'm pretty sure they can only be used for the first 100 Evs of a stat.

Certain people can also boost your pokemon's Evs, but its usually for a price. Finally, different Pokemon hand out different Evs after each battle, so if you go after the ones that give out a bunch, then it should lessen the time needed.

An OU team is a team designed for the OverUsed Metagame, which is the most prevalent tier in competitive battling. Other Tiers, like NeverUsed (a lot of restrictions Pokemon wise) or Ubers (Nearly anything is allowed in a team) have different rules, but the OU tier is usually the most balanced.

That should just about do it. I hope I helped you.

Haha yeah, took me a minute because I had to remember where PC's user search was xD Also took me a while to see your message too, since like I say I don't really go to Skeetendo anymore.

It's still too early to say for sure, but I have a few different types of ideas in mind.

One idea is very slightly referenced in Pokemon Christmas ("Blue is out training in Hoenn right now") and would be a hack set in Hoenn, but not a remake. No real plans or notes for this one yet, just that it would be in Hoenn and you would probably play as Blue/Gary. You would also meet May and Brendan as well. No notes or things beyond that at this point yet.

I've also thought about experimenting with Gen III hacking. I started to learn Gen III hacking several years ago (think before FireRed was out) but I ended up going back to Gen II hacking since that was my favorite gen. But I'm thinking it might be neat to look into, although again no solid plans.

I also have some other ideas floating around that I'd like to include in things, but don't know where to put them yet. So they may end up in Pokemon Christmas, or in Spirits and Legends, or maybe in the Orange Islands in SaR. Or maybe in a new hack like that Hoenn one.

So yeah, I have a lot of random ideas around, and unless something really weird happens I plan on sticking around as a hacker for a while.

What would I like to see in the future? A few things, actually.
    1) A trio of ROM hacks [gen1, gen2, gen3] that, aside from the generation, are pretty much identical: You start in Kanto and post-elite four you travel through Johto as it would have been "3 years ago".
    2) A demake of Heart Gold / Soul Silver. Possibly using Fire Red as a base.
    3) An official Pokémon game, following the standard "gotta catch 'em all" format, but aimed more at the older players.
