Well there is a lot of techniques sonic has at his disposale, largely his insane speed is a mind game in itself. His main unpredictablity dwells from his side b and down b as the both can cancel. Sibe b cancels on the ground while down b cancels from the air. Its a lot of things that would take quite a while to explain. If you watch that video things will become clear xD. Its called a fake out. Your opponent is more than likely not going to be able to predict that you will cancel plus if you do it correctly on an opponent you can grab them straight from your cancel and mindgames :). Like I said sonic has to be as unpredictable as possible
