Ah but no, case is not close since you made one error. On the first turn, Typhlosion use Sunny Day and Feraligator used EarthQuake. One the second turn, Typhlosion use SolarBeam and Feraligator use EarthQuake again. So Typhlosion died before ever able to deal its second SolarBeam. You made the error by forgetting about Sunny Day. Even if you forget about Sunny Day, you still have to wait til 4th turn to able to use your second SolarBeam, in which, I've very sure, Typhlosion is dead by then. Now THAT'S case closed.

Well, 2 Solarbeams can kill a Feraligatr no EVs, but with them and ev'd a little is Special Defense, it could withstand the 2nd Solarbeam, and then kill it with an Earthquake. Case closed, I would say.
