    No, you simply put it on any tile that the player will have to step on. So, you just have to copy and paste

    and put it on a tile. The player will step on that tile, and the National Dex will be given automatically without any notification.

    That video may help. I recommend watching the whole video series if you wish to learn how to script. It helped me get started.
    I saw your team recruitment post and saw that you needed Oak to give the National Dex. This is a pretty simple script and you don't need to change Oak's whole script. It is much easier to just add a tile that gives you the national dex secretly.

    This script should work. Test it on a different rom first. Just place it on a spot where you will be forced to step, except for the first step outside of a door. I don't think that will work.

    I believe that will work. It will give the National Dex automatically with out stopping the game or anything. I wish you luck on your project!

    Oh, and if you don't know, find a different offset in Free Space Finder and insert the number in the 800000 spot. You can probably find a tutorial for it. Also make sure to compile it.
    Ive edited so much in that hack I wouldnt wanna start over just for graphics... since Im leaving the firered game in tact I wont be editing the tiles anyway. My next project will be a full hack with a new story (nothing from fire red will be in it) and that will need a major graphics overhaul. Id love to see what youve got tho... just to keep it in mind

    I remember... the battle animation is set in the map header tab of A-map... its under "Fight Type"... the ones use for the e4 are Top-4 and ther are 4 of them... so you would just set each map like that... for wild pokemon battles... for trainer battles you can change the music in A-trainer... although i dont know if itll change the fight type or not... try it
    Im sorry I dont know anyone who could help. I tried hunting a good spriter but they are all busy... so I had to do all my sprite work myself (and with the help of google images ;) )

    as for the e4 battle thing, it is possible... i remember seeing it somewhere how you can set the battle start animation... i just dont remember... Ill have to look for it again.

    eventually I wanna make a complete hack (new story from start to finish) and ill have to make new tiles and stuff for that one... I did not see a need to edit fire reds tiles when the story did not change... but you are more than welcome to show off your artistic side (im a horrible pixel artist)
    yup... my bad... you need a header editor to change the header to match fire reds (I use ROM Header Editor Advance or RHEA) just look at a clean Fire red header and make Ultra violet look just like it... be sure to change it back when ur done...
