  • I watched it in french, and they were called Ishishi and Noshishi (probably the Japanese names). It sounded so weird in French though XD
Hi! BTW I also watched Zorori as a kid, and I loved that show to bits. It just felt necessary to have my avatar and sig fox-related and Zorori was the best character that came to me :D A lot of people have been coming to me asking what the anime is too, having seen it but not remembering the name.
It is. People are just being turds and taking forever with their posts. You don't need to worry about getting a post up before anyone else though, as you were the last person to post. Now that I've got all my job stuff sorted, I'm about ready to start getting on everyone else's cases again.
If there is a location of importance that the players might visit, you ought to think of details for that place, that way, when the story takes you to that place, you already have a lot of info on it as a GM and you won't need to make up new stuff up. I wouldn't overdo it with the info, though, I usually give two or three paragraphs for each location, the regime they're under and their trading/landscape benefits. A huge info dump can only serve to put off potential players who look into your OOC. As for minor locations, I think it's good to mention them separately from the important stuff as interesting trivia about the world.

I would suggest it, yeah. If you think about an RP as an animal, the plot points would be some of its bones - sometimes not connected directly, but at all times surrounded by the flesh, which the players bring. Plot points help you create a skeleton for your RP which will then be filled by the players... and skeletons help you avoid boneless masses of flesh that RPs that aren't thoroughly imagined tend to become.

At least that's how I see it. I've found this method has worked for me, but I don't know about other GMs. I don't want to make it seem like I claim my method is the only true method that works
Put it up in the OOC, sure! And if you can find a better quality image, even better.

Since you're going for emphasis on the storyline kind of RP, which is exactly what I do for mine, I could tell you of the gist of how I run my RP; maybe it'll help you: I plan the story of my RP like a path through a maze. The start of the path and the end of the path are predetermined, as well as some points in between, think of them as beacons in the maze. The path splits into two or three or maybe more branches; these are the possible routes the story can take, depending on the actions of the RPers. However, all these separate routes can very well become one again, wherever you've set one of the beacons and then resume towards the end as one, then split up again
It sounds solid. If you had a picture of Igno, you could maximize the effect :D That reminds me, have you thought of any plot points yet?
On the other hand, wouldn't it be nice if the threats were obvious from the start? That way, your OOC would be more impressive and maybe you'd have more chances of getting people interested in it. If it's a phantom threat that's absent from the OOC, no matter if the threat will turn out to be creative IC, some people may think of the RP as another generic calamity story and turn it down.

Fair enough. I haven't played D&D myself, nor have I tried that kind of GMing... I'm more of a story person, anyways. I try to make the RP survive through storyline, not gameplay :P
No, perhaps they didn't even know Igno and Frigia existed; their homeland was threatened by these calamities, so the elders sent them out to find out what was causing said calamities, and they find out it's Igno and Frigia. But I don't suggest going that route, in hindsight...

Hmm, speaking from experience, the timer thing will have nothing to offer to the roleplay experience. It might only serve to stress people out. Plus, if you were to pull gimmicks like that, perhaps you should play the overseer kind of GM; which means you wouldn't play a part in the story except for control NPCs and describe events, you would check everyone's posts for their progress and spawn items for their characters to take. Much like a Dungeons and Dragons GM.
Maybe they don't know right off the bat and they find out sometime early on in the RP.

is it an adventure RP? Will the heroes travel around to places of the continent?
"which is set a few years from now," wait, so is the setting modern?

Also, why not combine both? Kids investigating the cause of the calamities that threatens their home. Each idea separately is too plain, but combine them both and you're off to a good start
    I'll have to have a look :)
I'd never claim I drew that don't worry, perhaps I'll put something in bio stuff giving credit.
No I had no idea! o.O
I'll have to look for another one if they don't like their art being used, kinda sucks though because it's a great image.
Ah, those governments are silly... I don't need this world. I can simply create my own anew. With this sort of attitude, I could probably be an admin for one of those evil Pokemon teams. Watch out, because I might just be in Generation VI.

Why wouldn't you wear underwear though?

Horror and horror survival, huh? Those aren't things I have much of a preference for myself. My life is already full of fear. Adding more to it would make my poor heart jump straight out of my chest. But I suppose for people who haven't become tired of fear as I have, it would be exciting.

Merry super belated Christmas to you as well!
It does make life worth living. Although I personally believe that most humans haven't quite reached the full potential of what this means... of having such a complex mind and emotions. I think we can go much further than we already have. But if I say anymore, I'll start to sound like some kind of villain from a video game. :P Other creatures as well have distinct personalities, but they aren't quite as complex and are a bit more similar. We too have a set templates of personalities that exist, which manifest in people having things in common. I can confess to sometimes overthinking things, but I usually think so hard that my brain tires out and stops thinking entirely, so that's not much of a problem anymore.

Oh, what I meant is that I do get superstitious. Just not about pressing buttons at certain times. It's just not satisfying enough of an action and I have the worse timing imaginable.

I don't think it's possible to have an unbiased taste though. You can try to get close, but we all develop these preferences and go by them. Me? I know my tastes well. I want to try a variety so I don't get tired out, but I also have my time to consider. Don't want to waste time and investment on something that I probably won't like. There are things I know that I won't like right off the bat, certain genres. So I typically don't try things out like that unless it's really something special.
