Yep. Only he's probably going to appoint a staff full of fail too. I mean, SMC's told me he's already appointed Necromancy as an ASB mod.
On the other hand, it's not like he's made crappy staff decisions beforehand, either. He did choose bajarl man to mod the RPG forums when PFU first started.
I predict PFU's going to lose that spot on the Big Four that it supposedly is striving for. I mean, there's larger, more active forums that don't even get a mention, like TCoD. Not to mention PFU's been heavily mismanaged before the staff it had earlier this year. The rules (before I revised them) were incredibly vague, people got booted for arguing against SA's opinion (summer 2005, if you recall), and the forums were generally a mess, with a lack of stickies and its current lineup of forums that really tried to organize things and explain what is and isn't a post that fits in each forum. And at the risk of tooting my own metaphorical horn, it was the roster I appointed and yours truly who worked to do all that. SA often went idle, or he busied himself with the Pokedex or schoolwork (read: arguing about his political views on other forums). And when he did mod, half of the time, he made a decision that a mod really shouldn't make. Like, for example, banning Tenken or creating the "no politics" rule for the sole reason of stamping out flame wars over arguments against his political opinions.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure why PFU's on the list in the first place. It's certainly not anything special, and there's larger, better forums out there. Most of the time, people to whom I've mentioned PFU didn't actually know it existed.
In any case, point is, yeah, he's a jerk who attempts to impress his views on everyone around him. Also, did he happen to notice the fact that his board was trolled by porn and Viagra vendors yet? I haven't checked since SMC linked his journal to the staff decision fail, so I'm just curious here.
