It appears IMGUR will be (and apparently has already started) deleting images that weren't uploaded directly to an account. You can check the update notes on IMGUR here.

We know a lot of you will have used IMGUR to upload images for your threads and other PC content (signatures, flairs, etc.) and not everyone was doing so with an account.

So please note that some of your existing images may break at some point in the future. We recommend making an IMGUR account if you plan to continue using IMGUR.

Typically, when asked the source of my name, I give the cop-out answer, "I don't know" because I don't want to explain that it's from a game I'm making that's eternally in limbo.
