  • Sorry I took so long; I haven't checked my messages in a while. I deleted my post, so you should be good now.
Heh. I feel your pain, oh so much. I haven't had time to even write. It's pretty sad, XD, and I'm going through creative withdrawal. Getting to have a backlog of things.
Internet is better, but life got hectic. Probably will be for a while, yet. How are things on your end?
Sorry, my internet was compromised. I haven't had a whole lot of time to write since my semester started up again, though, which is disappointing since I have three projects I'm juggling.
XD, that's the hard thing about fanfictions sometimes. You stumble across ideas that you were going to do. (I actually stalled on my original region pokemon fanfic because B&W came out and stole my plot out from under my feet. I was pretty disappointed. ^_^")
As long as it works for you, that's good. I tend to use a variety of methods depending on how bad of a block I've hit, but with me the blocks are largely perfectionism. But you can't edit a blank page, unfortunately.
Animals are wonderful, but I couldn't be a vet because having to put them down would break my heart. Because that's even something that happens on the rehabilitation branch. As for your writing, are you talking creative writing or technical writing? Because if it's technical, sure, go to school for it. If it's creative ... yeah, that's (one of) the biggest lies of the industry, usually purported by literary writers. You'd be better off getting you degree in something else and gaining professional knowledge outside of the craft, because you can write just as good as or better than the lit authors through dedication and finding enough resources.
No worries, I understand about life getting in the way. It's part of why I haven't made much progress with my writing projects, be they fanfiction or original. I'm looking forward to post-graduation when I have more time to dedicate to writing, but that's 2.5 years for the working degree and then 1.5 for the next level. *Waves little flag.*

What kind of schooling are you going for, if you don't mind my asking? Or have you already graduated?
Yeah, they tend to be forgotten outside of the fans, I've noticed, XD. Did you have a favorite thing out of the game you did play?
They're Gen III games for the Gamecube, Colosseum and Gale of Darkness. They were the first series in canon to actually display the antagonists doing something for their reputation (IE: On screen assaults instead of implied), and the region is largely semi-apocalyptic and "desertpunk". Kind of gritty canon. I love it. ^^
Well, right now I'm working on a writing guide and a trilogy novelization of the Orre games. I haven't gotten much done (in terms of words-on-the-screen) on the second project because I've been hammering out tweaks that will streamline continuity and how I'm going to change events from canon. I do know that a certain ghost type is going to mix things up, though. :D
Well, this fandom in particular has a thing for novel-length projects, so you won't be alone in that. As for worry about being criticized ... well, that's being an artist in general. I understand where you're coming from on that, though.
I understand that. Life has a tendency to get in the way. (I only just finished finals, so hopefully now I'll have a little time to work on my projects over winter break.) So is this story of yours going to be a single story or a series?
