Even though I promised a demo a long time ago, here is the official link to download the beta Demo Patch.

This is the Beta Demo of Pokemon Darkest Dreams, with a few interesting starters including Dark Mew, Dark Jirachi, and Dark Celebi. These Pokemon haven't been fully edited as of yet, but they are a taste of what is to come for Pokemon Darkest Dreams.
*Fair warning. If you start with Mew, your starter move won't be effective against the Pokemon you rescue the professor from. That will likely be fixed in a later demo.

The Series will include hacks of each of the original GBA games:
Pokemon LeafGreen & FireRed
Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, & Emerald

If all goes well in expanding the Pokedex, new GBA takes on the post-gba games might be made and new Pokemon will be added, including the alternate versions as seen in the Pokemon Darkest Dreams Beta Demo.

Now after leaving this exceptional treat to help rally support for the series and hopefully gain members to the team (as I'm doing this solo and hardly know what I'm doing), I hope you enjoy and are as excited as I am for this new take on the older Pokemon franchise games that we all fell in love with.

Still working on a beta version, had to start from scratch after hacking led to the game being broken. Thus far, shinies have been edited along with Trainer sprites (still trying to work in the overworld sprites). After reviewing several of the newer hack roms including gen 4+ Pokemon, a decision has been made that might mean an extended series, which will include the maps and Pokemon from gen 4+ within the GBA environment. Also, new maps might get added if ROM expansion works without breaking the game.

(Also, as an exciting side note, this ROM series will likely include the spikey eared Pichu.)

physical/special attack split like newer poke games. tbh i personally don't care either which way but people often ask for in a hack. it's something you could more than likely add later though if you felt like it... ehhh who cares. :)

you removing disobey from mew & deoxys?... they're set as disobeying in the stock.

i don't think altering the stock map is all that important tbh, as long as the trainer sprites aren't exactly the same as the stock, that should be enough of a change from the original. You don't wanna get carried away on mapping when you have the whole asm thing over your head..... speaking of which (will find the exact username), but Jambo (i think) helped out hacksrepairman tremendously when i was working with him on advanced adventure. idk how active jambo is, but he might be able to help you out with both... especially if you can't find what you're looking for in rom hacking help.

Yeah you're right, in the running rom menu.. there's those link features you mentioned. I can't believe how often I use that particular menu and never noticed that feature there until now... 0.0

I have a full apk mod myself (emu of choice for game testing). I'll have to see if my version has that feature. My apk version is 1.7.3... what version is yours?
