You don't have to! I never completed a ROM Hack, only helped (most if not all are not completed) and did some stuff for fun for myself, but I still have maps I can show. If not, just spend a little time to make one. Its fun anyways. :)

Welcome to PokeCommunity, I'm not part of the community hack (though I am familiar with rom hacking somewhat), Just saying you should post some examples in the application. Hard to accept if they can't see what you can do, right? :)
