- I love Reading, Writing and Pokemon, and have been doing all three of those things for an incredibly long time.
- Biography
- I am obsessed with pokemon and I have been since I was very young, I was seven years old when I first got my hands on Pokemon Red version, and I have never been able to give up that passion ever since. Although I have taken breaks from the franchise here and there, I have always come back to it in one way or another.
I have played every single main franchise pokemon game for hand held systems except for Black 2, White 2, X, and Y. The period of time that those games were released and being played, I had taken my longest break away from playing pokemon. I had near the end of that break become addicted to pokemon gaming once more by playing a few different Hack ROMs which after about of year of playing nothing but Pokemon Hacks I found myself finally purchasing a 3DS and a copy of Omega Ruby, and I was immediately swept into the Hype of Sun and Moon's release.
During my time of being deeply interested in pokemon ROM hacks, I began teaching myself how to do sprite art, simple scripting, and map lay out. I currently have the skeleton of a dream pokemon game that I hope to one day finish with a fully fleshed story line and various other features that I have spent a lot of time planning out and have began some of the scripting for. However, I'm a heavy procrastinator with ADHD, so I only work on it when I'm incredibly bored and can't think of much else to do, but I hope that if I keep working on it piece by piece out of boredom, it will one day be closer to completion and will encourage me to finish it when it gets to that point.
I like to read a lot, talk a lot, and I like to write a lot. I frequent forums quite often simply because I legitimately enjoy reading people's opinions, whether I agree with them or not. In this aspect I enjoy responding to people especially when I think that person has interesting things to say, or if I disagree with them but am interested in their side of the argument. I will admit that in some of my opinions, I am very obstinate in changing some of them, so if I get into an argument where I know that an opinion I have will not be changed because I think it is logical enough, or know for a fact to be true, I would rather drop the argument entirely instead of continuing it into an argument that trails off into nothing that might derail the original thread.
An important thing to mention is my title: "Blathering Fool". I use this title to sort of warn people that sometimes I don't know how to shut up. Especially when it comes to typing. I can promise that anything you read that is written by me is never intended to actually be an essay, nor am I using my writing to imply I'm arrogant or superior to others. This is just how I type, and generally my typing is equal to the pace of my thoughts. If I have a lot to write in any one particular post it's because I legitimately am typing down an entire train of thought.
I also try my hardest to have good grammar and syntax, because I write on my free time and try to keep what I write as clear and able to be understood as possible.
I am often a victim to TL;DR, but it never really bothers me because my train of thought is that the people who are willing to take the time to read my monologues and then coherently respond to them are the exact kind of people I am interested in talking to. Since I am TL;DR victim myself, it means that I am a person who will give anybody's post a chance no matter how long and detailed it may be. Do you have a ton of things to say? Then have no fear, for I am here to read your essay.
To explain a bit more about how I enjoy pokemon. I am a relaxed competitive battler, and a hardcore Breeder. I do heavily enjoy competitive battling, but I don't do it constantly. I use competitive battling to teach me about the complexities of meta play and how it affects various different kinds of pokemon. I love studying the various competitive tiers of Smogon and using that information to reflect on my quality of breeding and stat building. I enjoy building competitive pokemon for hard core competitive trainers. The enjoyment I get from it is knowing that my skills in breeding have made way into impressive competitive teams, especially for battlers who are much more strategic minded than I am.
Breeding is my true passion in pokemon, and I am very comfortable with spending hours upon days upon months, breeding perfect competitive pokemon, it's honestly a thrill for me.
