Yeah the reaction to him hasn't seemed negative to me either. Not mass excitement either, but that's still better than the usual salt mine that is the Smash community when it comes to character reveals/the roster.

Plane crashes are so ridiculously unlikely since like 8 people check things in order and have to okay it before the plane flies, so that's definitely not a worry, but I get what you mean ;__; It's so hard not to run worst case scenarios through your head.... oof. I know the feel so much. 3 hours is very little! you can do it!!

yeah there will be more to New Snap -late reply- fluffruit replace apples (though they're essentially the same thing), illumina orbs replace pester, and you'll get some other stuff like speedup later too. As for leveling.. yeah, it can be slow. All you can really do is repeat the course and take pics of Pokémon in poses you haven't photographed there before. It can be slow, and I didn't finish maxing all mine out D:

I didn't take xanax but what I took was another name for diazepam! It's similar. My flying phobia was so bad it only helped me a little bit lol. Xanax works super well but is also really addicting yeah, over time you'll build resistance to it after taking it daily and then need more and more, to the point where you'd need unhealthy amounts to see benefits... so I've heard. It would be so relieving to be able to take these things and just feel normal without any potential addictions down the line :< Glad it helped you!

Hope your power's been okay, stay safe out there.

Bidding gets pretty heavy as far as I remember. I think around the time I started watching GDQs live, their final total was reaching... I wanna say around 3 million? I just finished watching the 4-way Mega Man X race and it was fantastic. There's a few things I'm excited to see more of throughout the event. Kirby Super Star is later today, Cave Story 3D and Metroid Prime 2 are back to back tomorrow, a bunch of Castlevania games, A race between Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, Celeste, Mega Man X2, Super Metroid... there's a lot of really cool stuff I'm interested in.

Lemonade is wonderful, raspberry lemonade is one of, if not, my favourite drink to have. I'm personally not a fan of grape juice, but it's kinda funny, my dad would have orange juice fairly often when we'd have breakfast together I started to have it more and started enjoying it.

I don't think there's a clear-cut definition for "indie", but typically it'll be a much smaller studio, it's not just someone who isn't the big three. Other companies like Bethesda or Ubisoft or Sega or whatever wouldn't be considered indie. Typically it's easy to classify games made by one person as indie, but usually it'll just be a smaller studio, one people haven't heard of as much, and aren't connected to any of the big companies. A great example is Bloodstained, where Koji Igarashi left Konami to create the game, which was funded mainly by Kickstarter. Bunch of games like that.
Dungeons and Dragons is pretty much seen as the grandfather to a lot of RPGs, isn't it... It's something I tried out, since my dad has a big interest in it, but just didn't really enjoy. I can't really say I'm a Final Fantasy fan either, on that topic.

I think I understand that. Though I can't really say I relate. Since I've spent so much time trying to put myself out there, talking to people has come a lot more naturally and different people lead to different experiences. The positive ones help overshadow the negative ones and help with creating more experiences. I guess that's the best advice I can give?

I can't say I'd be too interested in that, haha. Survival horror isn't really my thing. But that does sound interesting, definitely.
Yeah, I don't remember ever having to fight the robots, I just remember the point where you take them for yourself and upgrade them.

By that logic, I'd think cola and oil would taste the same...
There's multiple different kinds of wines, so they don't all taste the same. Red wine has a stronger flavour than white wine, for example.
I can kinda relate with that, I've been playing a lot more stuff on my PC in the last year or so, so my Switch will only really get that attention when something I want comes out, which will be happening in the later months of this year with stuff like BDSP and Metroid Dread.

I'd say it does but it also feels weird.. I feel a bit weirder being home than the last time I came back from a 7-month long trip. Not sure why. I guess I'm slowly adjusting away from living at home and more to living at home with my partner. D: Not having him around is so weird but such is the pain of long distance stuff...

And ooh, I def want you to let me know what you think when you fly. Sometimes I feel so alone in hating flying, like even my anxious friends seem to love it, so sometimes I wonder why I got chosen to feel like this lol. It can be a lot of fun to look out the window if it's something you can tolerate though, to see all the things below you (if you're not too scared) ~

and ahahaha I'm totally different! I love watching good YouTubers and their reactions to stuff in let's plays. it can be hilarious. But I guess I spent years watching that sort of stuff and kinda grew adjusted to it, I'm also hecka lazy with video games these days... x'D

Yes I do! The pokeani is great :3 I watch the Japanese version and it can be quite good, there is some major news of returning characters lately so that has me mega hyped. The current saga (Journeys) has its weakpoints but one of the strong points is all the returning characters it brings back, even if it's just for a bit. Soo cool to see old chars again!!

or any sort of larger pills.
Ugh yeah... these suck. I hate them too. ; ; But luckily some of them are capsule style which is reaaally slippery and can be swallowed super easily. I forced myself to take big pills when I had to and they went down so easily, it definitely wasn't as bad as it looked. But yeah that's now always the case ahdhfhhasdf

Hey, I would've gotten back to you sooner if my power hadn't gone out, and come back right as work started for the week, haha.

Every event is a massive collective donation towards one cause, however they have different things people can vote towards such as bonus games or donating to have someone play something like a different difficulty (a good example is Pokemon runs, where they'll have donation wars for what the runner will name each Pokemon, so the name that gets the most money donated for it will be the winner) and sometimes people will donate for runner's incentive, or runner's choice, which is just whatever the current speedrunner wants the money to go towards.
A few people I watch who are around that range of subs are people I see with patreons or taking sponsorships, and honestly I've never really minded having some sort of advertisment or sponsorship in their videos, they always make them at least somewhat entertaining and I don't mind seeing people talk about a product as long as they'd actually be interested in using it.

Yogurt is alright, but I'll typically only eat a certain kind. Typically I'm a fan of berry flavoured yogurts and will just eat those. I don't think it's bad or anything, it's just not usually the first thing I'll think of having. Drinkable yogurt is easy to consume though so it's typically something I'll grab if I want something small and don't really know what I want to eat.

20XX is heavily inspired by Mega Man, specifically the X series I believe, it was neat to pick up being a fan of classic mega man for so long and seeing a lot of comparisons between 20XX and the X series. I'm considering going back to it now that I've played through the X series, since I didn't play 20XX for too long.
I've played Undertale (which was definitely it's own thing, haha) but I think there are just generally a lot of popular indie games. I think it's hard to generalize them, or pick a specific "most popular one", since a lot of them have had a pretty heavy impact on gaming as a whole, enough to make the whole indie subgenre pretty well known.

I think every so often we're just bound to run into people like that. There are a lot of stupid reasons I've stopped talking to people and I'm sure people are bound to think I've stopped talking to them for stupid reasons, whether those reasons are legitimate or not. Being a good friend to someone definitely requires a lot of effort, though you don't need to be the best friend all the time.

I don't think I ever touched the DLC for New Vegas. If memory serves, I own it, but I've never really given it a look.
I didn't confront him directly, but all I remember was just that he was really easy to kill. If memory serves, I kinda just hit him a couple times and he was dead, and I took the robots from him from that point.

I can sort of relate? Even though ironically I'm typing this with a glass of wine on my desk, my parents actually got some alcohol for me recently and the night they did I just kinda couldn't stomach it? It just didn't taste right and I never drank most of the can they gave me. This wine's going down alright but honestly I can't ever see myself drinking that much.

Yeah, I don't mind adding you if you just want to have each other added. I'll check my Switch a few minutes after sending this message.

Sorry for the slowness, been flying back home and just made it back yesterday, been getting mega jetlag... it's so hot here D: Came back home to like 91 degrees F? whyyy summer it's not even July yet!!

And yeah it does sound pretty complex honestly, ahah. But to be honest shooter games aren't for me... playing as someone wielding guns or other weapons like that has always been pretty stressful for me, and it's not one of my favorite genres. Even if the story/gameplay is exceptional. Definitely would be fun to watch someone play though, and experience it that way :O

it's not that old to me! maybe it doesn't seem like long ago to me when it just started airing though, 2013 is a while back but not super long to me. I remember how excited my friends were about season 1 before we had other seasons though ~ ahhh miss all the anime excitement. nowadays I am SO slow and lazy with watching some stuff x.x And they did! thank goodness for painkillers @[email protected]

Yeah, from what I can remember, AGDQ benefits cancer prevention and SGDQ benefits medical support and supplies. They've also had GDQx which I believe benefitted suicide prevention one year? All really great causes.
Usually if a YouTuber has a patreon, in my experience it's just been "donate if you'd like, and you can see my videos early, or get the scripts for the videos" so it's not like I've ever seen them lock content behind a paywall. But I understand it's kinda tough to make money off YouTube and they need some way.

Haha, I love the title of the video. It's always a lot more fun when you can just make a joke out of things like this and enjoy it a lot more.

I remember hearing that Cave Story took a lot of inspiration from Metroid, and I think that's fairly common for indie games nowadays to do. People make games because they enjoyed playing them growing up. A good example off the top of my head is 20XX, which was inspired a lot by Mega Man X.

I think visiting more museums in my life could be cool, but they're definitely not the kind of thing I'd do alone. I'd definitely wanna go with friends or go with my parents.

I've definitely done that before, removing myself from someone's life because I felt it was better for them. I don't think I've really looked back with regret because I think I'm at a point now in my life where I'm happy with the people I'm with, but it is always a difficult thing to do. I probably wouldn't condone it to other people now, looking back, haha. I had a friend of mine recently just completely disconnect from me (and several other people, I later found out) and I never got a reason for it. I still think about it occasionally, and it's been about a couple months since it happened. I still see them replying to other people's posts though, so they show up in my feed on social media every so often.

I don't imagine the storage problem would be that big of a deal, would it? You could just pick up a bigger SD card? Reminds me of my computer right now, since I have so many games uninstalled on it since I just have a lack of space. It's sort of like if I want to pick up a new game I'll have to uninstall four others, haha.
I understand how you feel, a lot of people forget when my birthday is or just group it in with Christmas so it feels like it doesn't matter at all. I've had people recently tell me they'll remember (and they have, actually) and it means a lot to me. Hearing my boyfriend say he wants to celebrate it as its own event for me has always made me really happy.
Strangely enough, I remember Mr. House putting up no fight, but I definitely died to Caesar multiple times. There was just a lot going on in the room you have to fight him in.

Yeahhhh, the first time I tried drinking I did that, I think that's an easy mistake to make. At first I didn't think I liked this one drink because I was taking too large of sips, and once I started to relax on it I enjoyed it way more. I usually just enjoy stuff with lower alcohol content and even though I'd joke about getting drunk or whatever, I can't ever see myself consuming alcohol quickly. I'll have a glass or a can over the course of 2 hours, thank you very much.~

Sure, I don't mind. I just don't think we'd use it for much. If you'd like to, I wouldn't be against it. My code should be SW-4784-9582-5109, and the name should be under こうり, let me know if those are wrong.

I'm really glad you got your CAWs back, it sucks to lose anything you've invested so much time in.

Billy is pretty sharp!!! Sorry, had to be done ;)

Have you thought about creating a back story for him since you make him every time?

    Also... Happy Birthday!!!

Almost everybody can be killed, even important characters. So if you go around massacring everybody you'll be playing an entirely different story than someone who just joins the Californian Republic.
Oof is there a way to keep everyone alive? Games that require death are a lil sad to me ;_; lol

also omg! Happy birthday!! I made you a thread, am now good at celebration threads too much but a thread is better than no thread :3 hope you enjoy new snap!!!

Honestly I feel bad that I can't remember what happened in ep10, but I did watch it years ago so I guess that's understandable. It's definitely a tense show though. I assume you like the opening song? :O

That's usually how I feel looking at a GDQ schedule. There are those certain games that interest me. Cave Story 3D is just the 3DS version with upgraded graphics, I think I mentioned that a while ago when talking about what options there were for you to play it.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear. Seems good that you're able to start eating other things again though.

In terms of Metroidvanias, I think that gameplay aspect is what they aim for when pushing the player forward. I think it's just something to expect of the genre, especially because it's the approach that Metroid takes, as a pioneer of the genre. A lot of games in the same genre would want to adopt that style because it's part of what makes Metroid charming for some people.

I think there's a lot of stuff to be interested in from that presentation, there was some neat stuff in there. Funnily enough, I got woken up today by the alarm I set for the presentation, since I forgot to turn it off from last Tuesday. Happy birthday in advance, as well! Hope it goes great for you.

Since father's day has already past, I went to a museum with my parents for it, since we have a maritime museum here and that's the kind of thing my dad's interested in. I got to walk along the beach and take photos inside and outside the museum and it was a good time.

I've sort of had that feeling before, thinking of people I used to know online or even in person who I just haven't talked to in so many years, or we've lost contact. If I'm being honest, I've disconnected myself from a lot of people, so I'm sure I've become that person for them, if they care enough to think about me haha. I stumbled across an old friend's post where he detailed the people he met and one of them was me, and it was nice to hear what he thought of me and how we got to meet. So yeah, I guess I've gone through that.

sorry, been tired lately... headaches daily, I think I look at my phone too much T_T lol

Ooh I honestly did not think of emulating animal crossing... I actually might try that with wild world. It's just such a classic game, I let my friend visit my island and it was the funnest thing. Wish I still spoke to her tbh. D: She just stopped signing online one day.

Going to watch that video in a minute over tea. I know how popular Fallout is but I wouldn't be very good at that type of game, it seems fast-paced and high-stress and I don't tend to be good at that. Might be more fun to watch than to play but who knows ahaa

Yeah, the old Snap was very short. It was just going through the levels and that was it. I definitely think this New Snap is a good value for the content, but not everyone agrees, which I understand. Just going around taking photos isn't very appealing to some people. The hype didn't last long at all for the community, but we all had lots of fun going through it and posting pictures to social media. :3

I'll try to post you a birthday thread!! glad you're having an overall good experience leading up till your birthday, that is so important ~

aahhaa yeah I really only watch the opening/ending once and then skip. Can still appreciate the music even if we don't understand it well. Excited for you to catch up. I read the extra panels from the last manga chapter a few days ago and got so emotional, you have no idea. Can't wait to be able to talk to you about it once you're caught up. It's so crazy.

Oh yeah, I forgot it's about time for SGDQ, thanks for the reminder and the schedule, there's some neat things on here. In terms of behaviour at conventions, I've never really run into any problems. I'm sure there are people who do dumb stuff but I'm either far away from them or it just doesn't happen in my area. In terms of the TCG stuff like Regionals, I've attended a bunch and they've all mainly been pleasant.

I mean, I didn't dislike Breath of the Wild or anything, I think it'd be neat for Legends Arceus to take inspiration from it, but I don't want it to just copy Breath of the Wild because it would feel effortless, and like they're just trying to make another Breath of the Wild for Pokemon because BOTW sold.
7 is mostly fine to play without picking up items, if you really wanna skip all of them I recommend just picking up the Super Adapter and the Rocket Punch.

I think it's fine to be honest about how you feel about that stuff and express it. To be fair, while they're suggesting it, it's not really their business unless you want it to be. I can see reasons why someone would make that remark or how it could be well-intended, but I wouldn't enjoy being told something like that either.

With Super Metroid as an example, there's the main goal of the story pretty much pushing you forward the whole time, and the feeling of progression in Metroidvanias is wonderful because you can feel every new upgrade you get, before and after you get it. If there's a ledge that's too high for you to reach, you're going to want to keep playing until you get that double jump upgrade and keep playing afterwards because you feel good about how you progressed enough to get it and new paths open for you. Speaking of Metroid, it was wonderful to see Metroid Dread finally rise from the grave after so long, since it was in development around the mid 2000s and it's the first new 2D Metroid in 19 years.

I'm doing alright I suppose, not a whole lot has been happening with me but I've been getting into more games with different people and it's been nice to have something to do a lot of the time. On the topic of Metroid Dread I got to watch the E3 direct with my boyfriend this morning, and it was a nice start to the day since there was some neat stuff in there.

He doesn't really interest me since I've never played Tekken and don't really have any inclination to do so. I'm not bothered by it though, it's unreasonable to expect that you're gonna like every newcomer on the roster and that you'll get everything you want. I have characters that I like to play, that's all I need.

It sort of makes sense to include Kayuza (or someone from Tekken at least) at this point given that Smash is a fighting game and has already included reps from other major fighting games.
