Both of those shows are really popular, but I've just never gotten around to them. I tend not to watch American animated shows as a whole though, mostly due to their "monster-of-the-day" premise. That and I've undoubtedly been spoiled by the style of Japanese animation. ^^

You definitely should suggest it. I'm sure enough people would like to try it as well. I don't know how you'd feel about making a thread regarding it, but that would be a good idea also. The same goes for your "1-per-type" challenge from earlier.

I'm not too familiar with any of the franchises you mentioned, aside from recognizing some of the names. *sweatdrop* It sounds like a good idea however, and I have considered associating anime characters with Pokémon before. One Piece is what usually comes to mind, though I'd be limited with Gen I not having anything resembling a reindeer. xD

I have tried teams based on various trainers in the games, ranging from gym leaders to random Youngsters or Lasses. I haven't done that since Gen II was the current gen though. =O

That sounds similar to the 802 Challenge in the main Challenges, though you're of course doing it by yourself instead of part of a group. I don't think it's one that I'd try though, mostly because I like alternating my team members a lot, which you have likely noticed from reading my Nuzlocke.

At least in Machamp's case you can legally get one through an in-game trade. The rest are more difficult though, unfortunately. =/

    Maybe a member shoutout?

And at this rate it appears the Misty & Brock two-parter will be airing dubbed in December, unless if Disney XD do burn off more episodes with another marathon.

Ground is a good choice as well. In fact they all can be. There are so many choices for a monotype that earlier this year I decided to do use a randomizer to determine a type. It chose Psychic, and so I hacked an Abra(with Confusion instead of Teleport) in as a starter. However, as you can probably guess, it got way too easy so I eventually gave up and started my Nuzlocke. ^^

Thanks for reading! I was actually thinking Puffy might be my best bet against Sabrina. As a Wigglytuff she will have an insane amount of HP, enough to take a Psychic or two(at least I hope so). I won't evolve her until she learns Body Slam, which should happen before the gym fight. Double-Edge is tempting, but recoil moves seem too dangerous given the type of challenge this is.

    I just posted it. ^_^

A lot of Normal-types can learn Psychic if I recall, so you can teach one of them that for dealing with Ghosts(which are all part-Poison in Gen I). The same can be said of Rock-types really, as they tend to have lower Special stats.

My first ever Monotype Challenge was a Psychic run in Blue, and I agree that it was very easy. I used a full team though(Alakazam, Slowbro, Jynx, Exeggutor, Hypno, and Starmie iirc).

I did a Bug Monotype in Blue Version and I got by nicely, Though if you use Yellow Beedrill won't be an option, so it might be harder. I've always wanted to do a Poison one, though that would be pretty easy what with Bulbasaur and both Nidorans available early on.

As for my Nuzlocke, I'm halfway through writing the chapter and I hope to have it up by this afternoon. ^_^

Ah yes, Water is my fave type so you could imagine that had I not had a mascot of that type (aka Oshawott) it would have been much harder to choose.

It's just so sad that modern kids have short attention spans and it's influencing the shows they watch. I don't want everything to be all slapstick and laughs.

I feel a show that pulls off slice-of-life well is We Bare Bears, which has a great concept with these three bears trying to fit in society and in loads of SOL situations. The show also has great comedy, but what it did right with comedy is that it's not overly forced.

Comedy is best when it comes randomly, not when it takes up all the screentime.

Since you mentioned how much kids with short attention spans are influencing modern cartoons, I shall show you this video by PokemonRangerBoy12 where he develops concerns that Yo-Kai Watch really did influence the Pokemon Sun & Moon anime:

I just know Cars 2 was not perfect like every Pixar film beforehand, because they always got nominated for Oscars, until that film.
