  • sorry about that. bugs love to come out when its release day. i swear screw them bugs
Thanks so much, I'll definitely check it out. You too, hope you've not been working too hard!
Hey! Sorry for the random msg, didn't know who else to ask!
I was wondering what you used to record your YouTube videos? I'm thinking of starting to do video tutorials about scripting, and have everything ready but a means of recording them lol. =P
Cheers! For some reason I can't access my PMs right now, will get back to you asap. Thanks again for helping me out!
    Oh, I see. Sorry then.

I thought you may be a certain Colonel Hogan I knew from work years ago. His first name was Denzel, him and I would play hacks together.
Oh yeah, looking at Tcoppy's comments below that reminds me... you said if Faroh's pokemon ever change based on what eeveelution you chose. No, the way we have it ... Faroh is Tcoppy's cameo so he chose which pokemon he would've had at the time, and then he chose which moves he would've given the pokemon. So it's almost like you're actually facing a player in a way. Anyways, you also were wondering sometimes about hidden fragments or orbs or whatever, they aren't in beta 1. There will be more in beta 2 but for now, none in beta 1. I'll update in a month or so (gotta keep the content rollin' in) but the secret area you found in forest path 2 will be added soon, some orbs will be added, and also some paper OWs will be added ... they will be little notes from Chief Hesarg's journal. They will be numbered and in order to get the entire story of him up until the sinking, you'll have to collect them all. Thanks again for playing the beta, we appreciate it!
    Nice! :D
By the way Faroh will always have a Grovyle (Sceptile in the later battles) because:
    Spoiler:
That'd be nice! but not necessary if it puts you at an inconvenience ☺ I see you online and will send a req'.
The reason why I said around this time of day was more or less because I had work, andd just got off. I dont want to do it just yet because Im exauhsted as hell
Hey I ave it ready with 4 egg moves! Just need to get with me at the right time. Try around 8-9pm tmrw or better yet anytime around lunch. Ill be waiting babe~
Darn. Now my best guess is that you patched Beta 2.2 on top of Beta 2.1. Because I'm compiling the entire ROM instead of hex editing, a lot of the code gets rearranged from patch to patch. I'm surprised it even works at all. Good to know you're keeping up the vids!
Hey, again. You should check out the bug list in the Maize thread. I just discovered (and fixed for the eventual complete version) a big bug in Copper Town. Don't talk to the guy standing on the rectangular path because if you lose the following battle (maybe if you win, too...), you'll be stuck in a glitchy map. On the other hand, if you have a Pokemon that can use Fly, you'll be able to escape the glitchy map. Remember, you can't use Fly until after you beat the Gym leader in Copper Town.
I heard your comments about Fraps not wanting to record Maize. Are you using VBA as the emulator? If so, maybe switching to a better emulator will do the trick. BGB is the best Game Boy emulator that exists, so I suggest using that instead when playing Gen 1 & 2 hacks. The VBA save file is perfectly compatible with BGB, too!

Edit: The only drawback is that it doesn't have the "space bar hyperspeed" feature. You have to right-click and go to options to change the speed. In the framerate box, you enter a percent speedup. For example, if you enter "500" in the framerate box, it will run at 500% speed, or 5 times as fast as normal. Enter "0" to return to normal speed.
