Since you asked for an actual rebuttal of your points, here, I'll give them to you, now that I'm not burdened with whether something is off-topic or not.

Maybe you've forgotten or otherwise haven't paid attention to anything but Ash, but Brock and Misty have been proven to be good and caring trainers at heart as well, not just Ash. Brock, for example, stuck up for Charmander (and for the record, so did Misty), even going as far as to attack Damian and attempt to force him to retrieve Charmander. Misty also apologized to the Oddish she thought was wild instead of abandoned and even tried to help it out when Team Rocket tried to kidnap it, not to mention also refused to hurt the Tentacool when Nastina ordered for the genocide of them. She also tried to help Mikey out as well, as well as that inept magician in the carnival. And Brock tried to help out Suzie twice as well. Also, all three are the main characters as well (the narrator does specifically refer to them as "our heroes.").

And Ash, with the possible exception of Gen 1 and FireRed and LeafGreen, is NOT the main character of the games. And please don't give me the whole "the games are simulations," because guess what, the anime's a simulation as well, as it's fictional.

Yes, and there were plenty of things he did that actually were bad things as well, and I've got a list of them as well, as much as the good he did in fact.

As I stated in my earlier post, there's a big difference between inexperience and downright stupidity. Even the most inexperienced trainer would at least know it's a terrible idea to pit what looks like a bug against what looks like a bird or whatever eats bugs. It's called common sense.

Yeah, and people also can't help but be heavily put off by Ash basically mocking Misty's fear of bugs, peppers, and carrots, and overall being insensitive to it as well. And they most certainly wouldn't have particularly liked how Ash keeps on bragging about some accomplishments when frankly, he didn't even win the match against Gym Leaders (heck, he even at one point attempted to refuse the Boulder badge for that reason, yet despite that, he still managed to brag about winning it). I'm not a particular fan of the whole "everybody gets a trophy" method anyways. Oh, and I forgot one thing. The episode where Ash caught Muk, he basically called Misty a chicken and mocked her for being (justifiably) nervous with a lurking Magnemite when investigating the power plant at Gringey City. That wasn't exactly a good thing he did by any stretch.

Yeah, and seeing someone acting arrogant also is offputting and takes away all the fun in a series about such as well (and BTW, what the series is about is collecting gym badges and trying to win a league.). Heck, a lot of people weren't happy with Kanto because he effectively got freebies for half of the GLs, and him bragging about his accomplishments doesn't help matters.

    1. See above.

    2. They didn't disown him, as they still stuck with him even after that. Had they disowned him, they most certainly wouldn't be there when Ash went for Sabrina, or got trapped by Sabrina's toybox, or heck, even continuing on. Had they actually disowned him, they would have disappeared on him like Brock did in Waterflowers of Cerulean City, or heck, how Haunter constantly disappeared on Ash during the rematch.

    1. I never said anything about Ash being stuck with Misty for the rest of the series. Not to you in that topic, at least. I just was commenting on how you have no problem with Serena, despite explicitly acting badly in her debut scene, when you explicitly disowned Misty for even acting badly even once.

    2. Misty may have had a temper, but she definitely wasn't that abusive to Ash. Heck, more than a few times she actually helped Ash and stuck with him, even when she had every opportunity to just ditch him or sabotage him if she wished. And BTW, are you going to disown Ash when he acted like a jerk to Dawn in DP (like when he yelled at her regarding her botching a potential capture)? Because that was exactly the same thing Misty did to Ash.

Last I checked, he was a bit of a jerk to Dawn in one of the early DP episodes. And I definitely recall Paul being extremely abusive, so it definitely wasn't preschool material. And honestly, I doubt he'd become a doormat as well, especially if Misty's reappearances in AG are anything to go by.

Last I checked, he still competes in leagues and gets Gym Badges, and actually increased in rank in DP (the only other time he increased in rank was in Johto several seasons back).

    The leagues, for one thing.

The Mirage Kingdom Arc, her three-episode reappearance in Pallet Town during Battle Frontier, and the 10th Anniversary Special didn't have that. Heck, she barely even got angry with Ash at all. And besides, would it have been better for you if she just let herself get taken advantage by a pervy man like Maron from DBZ? And BTW, I've dealt with abuse, and Misty's comments definitely weren't abusive at all, certainly not to the level that I've encountered (believe me, I had to have my gender and my religion constantly mocked, lies fed to me, and all of that).

Actually, he was still somewhat similar to Brock, only instead his sister constantly requests he get a girlfriend.
Still need help with those trade evolutions? If so, I'd be happy to help out. :)
