um im sorry to tell you this but i cant really be a main mapper anymore...

Yup, nothing like in the 3rd Gen.

From what I can see, those evolution methods are based off evolution stones (i.e, use an item on a Pokemon and it will evolve) which are impossible to do without heavy ASM and completely changing how those items function - As I said in my last VM. Just look at the evolution options in YAPE as those are the ones you can build your evolutions around.

As for the Nidoran, it is possible, but as of yet there is no way for the game to determine if the Pokemon is male or female and then evolve it accordingly. I do have a different idea though: Make the preevolution genderless and then have it evolve based on its attack/defense stats similar to that of Tyrogue.

Its not to hard to make new Potions and balls, but more complex stuff such as evolution stones, stat boosting items and attack boosters (Miracle Seed etc) will need ASM unless they do the exact same thing as another item.

'Trading' items wouldn't be to hard as you only need to check if the player has an item, take away the item and then give them a new one - All of which can be done through scripting :>

ASM is necessary to change anything up to the point where you actually begin the game. The most that I can do is edit the text.

Not possible without heavy ASM work. The opening sequence is very rigid so even taking out the naming sequence is hard work - I'm not up to that :(
