Missed you, glad you came calling on my profile.
You know my history with Sunny, I can't lose him again. I was also raising a new Dragonite on my copy of Yellow on the virtual console called Wagyl (named after the Australian rainbow serpent) and was hoping he would join me in Galar. Dragonite isn't my only favorite who went missing in action, Sceptile, Absol, Metagross, Alakazam, Florges and Volcarona not beng there has torn me up. During the main story it won't be a big deal, I'd be fine using whatever Pokemon are there and prefer to try new critters to the region even, but by post game importing Pokemon and team building, completing the dex is the main thing left to do after awhile, that is the time when I think Galar will feel rather lonely without some of the older mons. I can think of so many friends right now who won't have their signature Pokemon like you and Altaria, LilyGardy and Lilligant and Hyzenthlay and Shinx.
It's not clear what's going on with the additional 35 Pokemon that were datamined, maybe it will be paid dlc, maybe they will be event Pokemon. It does make it a little better, bulbasaur and squirtle not being programmed into the game would have been very wrong since Charmander is there. This isn't enough to make me get Pokemon Home, but I'm still glad to see a few more Pokemon than just 400. I'm happy for the Alolan mons.
I'm hoping there will be a third game version of sword and shield with a complete dex idk Pokemon Crown or Pokemon Warhammer?
I am having a nervous breakdown because of how small the dex was said to be though. Only 400 pokemon? If you can't transfer pokemon not in the Galar dex from pokemon bank into pokemon home then aren't the majority of the pokemon unplayable? According to the leaked dex Sunny won't be there :(
I did see the alleged Galarian Rapidash. As popular as I am sure it will be with the My Little Pony theme continuing, I am honestly a little crest-fallen that it didn't sprout wings. T_T I had my heart set on a pegasus. Though I am sure it will grow on me.
Scorbunny was always your boy though, right? Or did I forget?
In the guidebook leak I wasn't too impressed by Cinderace tbh, but now that I see a clearer image of this pokemon I actually think it looks quite nice, and think you made a good choice. All three are three starters are rather humanoid kinda like the Kalos starters-- which I don't mind, but I can see why they are polarizing. Intelleon reminds me a little of Techo from Neopets. I'll stay with him I think. I want to use his spy theme somehow, maybe a James Bond theme team in my second play through.
