I personally dislike some of my families attitudes, especially towards drinking. Seeing certain behaviors has given me a negative view towards it. Like you, I keep these thoughts to myself. Sometimes I wish there could be a gathering without alcohol involved.

Oddly, showers make me feel better and increase my motivation. I was taking several per day, even though I've toned it down because I know it's not good for my skin.

Do you have any relatives which you force yourself to get along with? There's some who have done things I personally can't stand, yet I keep those thoughts to myself.

I've seen a variety of people already. A few who remind me of high school classmates, but the majority feel more mature.

I could grow in certain aspects. I tend to put too much focus on one thing, and neglect others. Such as getting caught up on homework, I began neglecting laundry. Then finding one morning I had nothing to wear.

Christmas is the only holiday I'm looking forward to. Not Thanksgiving, because similar to you, there's relatives I don't care about seeing. But during Christmas, I see the relatives I care about, which are my older siblings.

The people in college are nicer. High School sometimes seemed like a contest of who could be the biggest douche. The majority of my friends in high school are also those I no longer want to associate with.

It's nice, but there's a sense of disappointment when it's over. The entire build up, then the day comes to an end along with the atmosphere. It's better around Halloween, because there's other special days ahead, such as Christmas and New Years.

Funny enough, I'm not even old, but I already find myself starting to dread birthdays.

My grades are fluctuating in two classes, but I'm having high success in one. I speak with people, but don't know if there's actually anyone I consider a friend right now.

We don't live in a good spot for handing out candy either. I would love to, but we've never lived anywhere that makes it possible.

I wouldn't say you've missed too much. It's fun knocking on the doors, but you can really just get your own candy with one stop at a store.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy tomorrow anyway. My favorite part is never Halloween, but the atmosphere leading up. It's a similar feeling around Christmas.

My mother has a birthday on Halloween, so I'll do something with her. I'll also dress up, even if it means my costume will be put together at the last minute.

    Are you doing anything?

I did notice you left for a while, but I'm glad to see your okay.

I'm alright though. Sometimes the amount of work is stressful, but I'm learning to manage my time.

The work is getting heavier, with exams and everything. It's not like high school, where I can get by without studying. Especially since I'm now putting in the effort for better grades, where as before I was satisfied as with any passing grade.

    Hi StrangerHypno,

Missed you! Don't be sorry, we all have lives with families, jobs or school and can't always be online. I'd be a poor friend if I didn't understand. I hope you can have some fun and relaxation here at last. I've missed reading your informative posts.

I'm doing quite nicely, thanks! The things I mentioned having trouble with seem to have sorted themselves out.

I was very surprised and honored when Fairy asked me to mod. You know I love this place! Clubhouses no less which was becoming my favorite place to hang out anyway.

Thanks for the congratulations. Hope you will join us for the Halloween celebrations. I know that you like a good scare :)

I think you accidentally posted the reply to your own profile, but that's okay, I'll respond here.

I'm actually considering transferring to a university, however, I'm quite unsure. It'll largely depend on my major.

If you were to write, it would most likely be interesting. It's always interesting learning about someone, I've found books are some of the greatest ways to do so. I'm not even much of a reader, but I've learned much from certain biographies.

Regarding my professors, it's different from high school. I've felt invisible, for the most part.

You've just seemed a lot more down or bitter lately, so I was concerned.

You seem EXTREMELY jaded to me now. Like, even more than I remember. Something got you feeling like that?

Yeah university is expensive. Many people and my parents have told me that community college is a smarter option.

Also I wanted to be a doctor, but it was overwhelming, I was too underachieving for it anyways.

Thanks but I want people to buy my book because it's good, if it's crap don't feel obligated to purchase it.

Anyways are you liking your professors? They can be a hit or miss, at least in universities where unlike teachers, they are primarily researchers so they don't care as much about the student.

I might transfer to a university, but for personal reasons I'm temporally committing to a community college.

It's been difficult for me deciding a major. I have volunteer experience, so it helps knowing which areas I enjoy working in.

But no, I can't return the book sadly. There was even a note about that on the receipt.

I do think the book is an interesting idea. If you were ever to write someday, I would purchase it. My only experience with story telling is from comics I drew in my spare time.

It's especially draining when you do something stupid like I did, and purchase a wrong $180 text book.

It's a bit early, my thoughts on the classes could change. Currently I'm enjoying one class, but not so much the other two.

Out of curiosity, did you attend college? I'm just interested to know what you majored in, or would major in.

    Hi there,

I appreciate that you reached out to me after reading the post I made about friendships that can take advantage and be unhealthy.

I would say that I am better off than I was a few years ago, and have learned a thing or two from experience with people who have brought a lot of pressure and negative feelings and manipulation into relationships. But I still have lots of room to grow. In some ways it has left its scars, because I want to go into my shell sometimes rather than take opportunities for friendship because I'm anxious about being harmed in relationships. But I fight against that shyness as you can see.

I'm sorry to hear that life has also brought you some experience with toxicity, especially since you seem like such a nice , chill guy. It sounds like though you got this person out of your life fortunately, or at least I hope so. I hope its okay if I shoot you a pm and we could talk more.
