  • Hey, I just saw your message.

Thanks for the offer. ^^ If I need any help, I'll keep it in mind. For now though, I'll try learning it on my own, if that's alright. :)

And that sounds like a lot of progress in terms of programming haha. Then again, that's just from my point of view(where I haven't made a lot of progress :P ).
In terms of how fast I can pick up something, well it can vary. Sometimes its pretty quick and easy, while other times I have to reread a tutorial/guide or two to finally get it(like when I learned ASM). (though learning ASM got a bit easier when I found the guide by JPAN. And also when I figured out what exactly bits were and how they relate to bytes.) Learning some of the more direct programming languages should be like scripting for the GBA pokemon games: a bit slow and buggy in the beginning, but I'll probably have a pretty firm grasp on it and the commands or whatnot after a while. :)

Again, thanks for your offer, its nice to know somebody more experienced is there if I really need the help. ^^

By the way I think I replied to this wrong(more like not replying at all and just sending my own message) but I think I know where to click the next time to actually reply haha.
    Anyway. See ya.
I do not need extra speed in my programs for now and Java is easier to learn so I was going for it.
Otherwise, I have very little skills in C.
I'm not looking for much. Just that I want it to be able to create a decently good 2D game that can run fine on any recent machine without requesting lots of CPU or RAM.
I haven't used it yet but I do plan on using it for a game I want to make in Java.
It's a development engine written in Java. It's also used for game making.
I tried RMXP myself but I didn't really like it :/
    Ever heard of jMonkeyEngine?
