    I haven't really watched since the Indigo League, though I've seen a few of the GBA episodes here and there. I never liked May in the games, but she was pretty likable in the show--surprisingly. I'm annoyed they changed Ash's classic costume. I never liked him either, but it's a classic! Argh. As far as Dawn, have they replaced her with Kotone by now? How's she?

    Yeah, I've only played the first two Stadium games, for the N64. Those were tremendously fun, though. There weren't any trainers issuing orders, though. That would have made it a lot more fun.

    Crazy fans indeed. I suppose it's better than the fanservice fanfics that are out there--as those can be written without any skill, but fanart does require talent.

    Alright. I was trying to make the change as unobtrusive as possible. I have no skill with shading and/or perspective though, which is why I wasn't able to do much with the hair on the right--but the left was corrected pretty heavily. I'm glad it worked out, the error was driving me crazy.

    Hm. Well, maybe I can ask specific questions for feedback. What did you think of the characters? How's Red? Was Gary good, or did he seem a little too pervy? How about Leaf herself? Did her personality seem authentic? Does she act like a 14 year old girl would?

    Silver and Kotone are pretty hilarious together. It's a shame we don't know what her personality is really like, though, I wonder how she'd really react in a situation like that.

    Sadly, Dawn seems to be one of the more popular heroines. I bet it's for her ample... characterization. Hah!

    Yeah, the trailer looks pretty amazing. If the game were anything like that, I'd probably have gotten a Wii in order to play it.

    Yeah, there's a *lot* of "fanservice" on Pokesho. I took a look through the gallery yesterday and I was mildly disturbed. I don't know why anyone would want to do that. It's not like the Pokemon characters are meant to be attractive. :p Thankfully, at least the character icons are nice and neat. Sadly, I just noticed that they mirror flipped Leaf's bangs--it's a minor thing, but it's going to bug me a lot. I'm not very good at photoshopping, but I did try to painstakingly fix it... I'm not sure if it works out nicely. I also added the gym badges to her bag strap, too, while I was at it. :D

    As for Lance in the manga: yeahhh he's fairly scary. It doesn't seem like him at all--but then as far as I know, the manga takes a lot of liberties with various characters.

    As for the link, huh, odd. They must have something against remote linking. I'm sure you get the idea though--these pictures tend to have a common theme. I'm rather confused by the one you linked, though. I'm not at all sure what's going on. :p

    Well, I think that fanservice was the idea from the very beginning. I mean, the DP outfit is pretty skimpy in is own right. I don't begrudge them their moneymaking strategies, I just wish that they'd stop making the protagonists so young if they want to do that. They can't have it both ways, as much as they'd like. Just making them teens at the very least might help: and it at least wouldn't send the wrong message to kids.

    ...and you're right, the skirt IS even shorter in Platinum. I hadn't even noticed before. What's their deal? Are they implying that she has nothing else on underneath the coat? Good grief.

    Yeah, they completely ignored her. They didn't have to replace May or anything--they could have just given her a cameo. But nope, not even that. Everyone seems to ignore her.     Yes, I got my avatar from Pokesho--the style is a bit distinctive, no? It's the closest I've seen to matching Sugimori's actual art, it's incredible. I wish I could read Japanese so I could browse their main gallery, though.

    Oh, I haven't ever read the magna. I've heard he's very, very different, though.

    Alright, then, do let me know what you think about it when you get to it. I don't post on fanfiction.net though--the other place I posted it was over at Bulbagarden. :)

    Have you ever seen that amusing little cartoon someone drew about that scene? http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prove_it_fag.jpg It's hilarious, although I don't know if Kotone's response is all that accurate. Saying that he did it to help you reminded me of it, though--talk about an awfully convenient justification for ripping someone's clothes off!

    Oh, I can't stand Dawn's character design. Wearing an outfit like that, at her age? What a hussy! Leaf's drawn so that she looks 13-14, so her miniskirt and tank top are fine, but Dawn looks 11 and is dressed far too inappropriately. And then in Platinum, they give her a coat to better fit the climate, but it has no pants? What's the point? Bleh.

    I'd love to see Kotone and Leaf interact. It's a shame the anime pretends she doesn't exist, though, and HG/SS does as well. It'd have been a great moment on Mt. Silver to have those two meet up.

    Quite a few Lance avatars, eh? May I get a sneak preview?

    Yeah, the artwork does occasionally make him look old--but the dialogue specifies that he's still a young man. I expect he's in his early to mid twenties, I think. I like that they made him far more heroic in GenII--the originals just made him seem like some arrogant sot who couldn't believe that he lost. In GSC and its remakes, he's not only compassionate and courageous--but he's even pleased to have lost to a young new trainer!

    And I don't know about Lance punching him. I'd have cackled in amusement if I were him, I think. I think I'd be much more inclined towards punching if I were Kotone and he'd just ripped my clothes off. Talk about disturbing.

    But you have a very good point. You have to remember, though, that Silver's objection to Team Rocket is not that they're criminal thugs (after all, so's he!) but that they're weak. Hardly laudable, I should think.

    Kotone's quite nice. Definitely an improvement on Dawn, I think, as far as female characters go. I like her because she seems to have the same color pattern as Leaf: red and white hat, blue and red outfit, and they're both brunettes. You should use Lance at some point, though, yes. Then we could be a duo of reverse avatars.

    He was pretty heroic in the anime, and I do like that they mentioned his Elite Four status. I'm not a fan of how they drew him, though--his FRLG outfit is my least favorite, and his hair was so waxy it looked like it was made out of a jolly rancher or something. Blech. I much prefer the shading in HG/SS.

    His line in the original is my favorite: "Dragons are mythical Pokemon. They're hard to catch and raise, but their powers are superior!"

    Dragons, Leaf, and Lance are my favorite things about Pokemon--and I've just begun writing a story featuring at least the first two. I can link you, should you be interested.

    Yeah, it was pretty fun. It's also interesting when all the trainers are like "whoa, what are you?!" when you beat them, because it fits Lance so well. By far my favorite moment, though, was when Silver stripped my disguised character to reveal--LANCE! It was brilliant.
