ok you need to create your .s files uncompressed. if you drag and drop your midi on mid2agb.exe, you do get a .s file, but its compressed. the only solution? command prompt. ill go ahead and tell you how, but i will be making a simple batch file to do this for everyone later. first, know the directory of your mid2agb folder. for example, mine is C:\documents and settings\3dd13\desktop\mid2agb
ok, with that in mind, press the windows key+R and type in cmd. hit enter, and look at what it says.
usually, it will be something like "C:\documents and settings\yourusername\" now type in cd put a space and select your directory that mid2agb is in. now type in mid2agb.exe and hit enter.
you will notice that it has a list of commands. this is all you need to type:
    mid2agb.exe midiname.mid midiname.s -n
next you press enter and viola, a uncompressed .s file should magically appear!

anvil studio is free, and fl studio is expensive. i suggest anvil studio. its more straightforward. as for midis, even though they can be an important aspect to music hacking, the actual midis themselves never go onto the game. http://cid-cf11ecf238431eb2.office.live.com/self.aspx/HackRom%20Tools/Music%20%5E0%20sound/SFileEd.exe#resId/CF11ECF238431EB2!294 go to midi2agb. download, and convert your midi. then click this link again, and download sfileed. open the songname.s file inside your mid2agb folder. this is the basics of converting a midi for gameboy advance. i assume you have the newest version of sappy. heres tutorials to help you. they are in order:
    first these are by Magnius:

http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=190661 a clearer understanding on how to put multiple instruments in a single midi track using anvil studio. you must be knowledgeable to understand this, as i could not include pictures.
ill post how to create an uncompressed .s file using mid2agb in command prompt with you later.

Well, like I said, it was most likely related to the SDL.dll file.

That usually depends on the SDL.dll libray file, and possibly could be related to the graphics card. What was the crash message, exactly?
