Anyway, the roaming beasts in gen2 get fixed DV's after you first encounter them and they start roaming. It's the same in HG/SS, but then they also get fixed natures. If no one has done anything about it, then my guess is it still works that way in polished crystal.
As for synchronize, that still don't work for me. Tried catching Lapras in Union Cave with Natu as my lead mon(both fainted and healthy), but changed tactics after 10-15 ended up with no modest Lapras. Started catching Tentacool to check if Lapras being a stationary mon was the problem. It was not. After about 10 Tentacools, with only 1 being modest I gave up. After you answered me I even double checked, and another 10 wound up with only 1 more modest one.
I have no idea why our results differ. I am playing the beta posted Saturday by the way.
