  • Just like Steelix (who has the same typing as Excadrill), Lucario and Cobalon.

I saw your random battle on YouTube. That was a good battle.
It is. Sand Rush + 88 Speed lets it rape through most Pokemon with QuakeSlide coverage (and yes, I'm aware a neutral Rock Slide does as much as a resisted Earthquake).

Victini was revealed to keep its Japanese name recently.
Excadrill is one of my favorite names. So you don't believe in the huge list of English names unless they're confirmed otherwise?
What's cool is that Magcargo gets this after evolving from Slugma:
    -Shell Smash
    -Lava Plume/Fire Blast
    -Earth Power/Earthquake
    -Stone Edge
    Nature: Naive
    EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: White Herb/Life Orb/Leftovers
    Ability: Flame Body

Still, Magcargo is better off with defending. What would happen if Torterra and Blastoise got this?
Agreed. What do you think about Shell Smash? I'm glad they made it because it's a combination of Swords Dance, Nasty Plot and Agility, but with Close Combat's side effect.
Here's something that crossed my mind about Balloon: If an Electric Pokemon had that and Wonder Guard, it would be untouchable.
That's actually neat. Combining that and Rough Skin and sending the Pokemon in against Pokemon that rely on contact moves and Life Orb will wear them down even more quickly; Crimgan, Garchomp and Nattorei are good at abusing the Rugged Helmet + Rough Skin/Iron Thorns combo.

Do the games really show that message?
But there's also an item version of Rough Skin, Rugged Helmet. Balloon is the item version of Levitate, but it's one time only.

(late reply as well, due to Internet issues and family business)
Not only that, Nattorei hurts physical sets with Iron Barbs/Thorns. You can bring it in against an Endrevver (Endure/Sub + Flail/Reversal) to let Iron Barbs/Thorns chip off the opponent's last HP.
I've been using this Nattorei set:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Spikes
    -Gyro Ball
    -Power Whip
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/80 Atk/176 Def
    Item: Leftovers

Man, this thing can take hits even better than Forretress.
Pokemon like Gigalith and Nattorei would've been happy if the Defense-lowering effect of Explosion stayed.

Also, the ice cream Pokemon got Explosion. Have you ever seen ice cream explode?
