When you want to trade, you go down to the basement of the pokecenter to the blue floor and talk to any of the ladies there. You'll have to save your game and then, if your wifi or whatever is good, they let you in the door behind them. That's where you trade. You have five things you can do in there: Single Battle, Double Battle, Trade and cancel. You can also voice chat. Also, you can accept other people's invites to trade by clicking on it.
