    Well, good for him!

To be fair, it's probably a "more appealing" choice than the stupid pun I'm going for with my avatar. I'm gonna change it to something people are more likely to like here.

I didn't make a comment on it the past few days, but I can't help myself anymore lol.

Dat avatar... it sure is something...

Edit: Apparently VMs don't support smilies.

Yeah, I think that's okay provided they didn't explicitly say that it was proprietary or something.

That's actually something I've been looking into recently, I'll make a post in the ASM Resource Thread if/when I get it to work.

    Two-sided answer to that one.

Excuse answer: This is so that you can reuse the items and evolve these Pokémon multiple times. This makes things more convenient for the player. It's also important for Porygon/Porygon2, as there's only one Up-Grade item in the hack.

Real answer: I don't know how to do that.

Oh. In that case I don't know if I'd be able to help you with that. If you wanted to switch the fanfare that plays in all instances, all you'd need to do is either change the pointer to the header or change the song that plays. The former is a simple change, and the latter would require hunting out the place in the ROM that controls what fanfare is played (although it'd technically be the right way to change that).

However, I can't say that I'd be able to make it so that the item fanfare plays when leveled up in battle and the level up fanfare plays when leveled up with a Rare Candy. There's a chance that both are dependent on the same code. In that case, a rewritten ASM routine would be needed, and I wouldn't be able to help with that.
