Hey! A Nidoran!

Wow it has been a good while.

I've been mostly busy with life the last few months and as a result not much active in fandom stuff. Hoping that things get fixed eventually, sooner than later.

Other than that I guess fine?

And what kind of busy work has your life been like?

We haven't talked in a good while, yes.

I am online less time than I usually was, and with this year's timezone change, it seems I can meet other people (including you) much later and for less time than I could before. That or I'm getting older.

But I'm overall fine. I'm coming up from a sickness episode that had the mis, or good, -fortune, of hitting right during vacation time. No ill consequences so far. Elena the Typhlosion♀ is fine tough I haven't really fed her muffins and stuff for about two weeks (due to the aforementioned sickness).

I remember that I commented to you I would be getting a new account to handle e-mail and stuff easier. I'll PM you the details later!

Sorry too for being late to reply.

Life has been pretty busy lately, though in a good way. Now that I have solidifed my part-time job, I have enough time for myself to actually have a social life, or at least a good simulacrum of it up to and including going drink coffee with old pals. Lacks a girlfriend tho.

I think we can talk more via email too, just lemme up and send you my account if I haven't done so one of these days. Elena's doing pretty fine, she's the most powerful Fire type in my team, not that it means very much considering I only have four fire types of which one (a certain event Torchic) is just idling in a box, but eh :p


Oh and don't get me started on the weather. I swear, someone or something wants to make us crazy on a mass scale. :p

re: busyness. It's incredibly heavy right now since besides work I'm juggling an emergency project and a creative design project. These will be "fun" remaining ~20 days. At least it's warming up, yes; however the rain doesn't stop yet, which makes things very uncomfortable for the time being.

But once that's over, yeah, we should somehow talk more. Perhaps e-mail, if we can't coerce our timezones into helping us. And sorry that I can't really help making things less lonely.

I have been busy with work, travellin' cities and takin' pictures of ships and markets and hotels. In my spare time I'm getting back to writing, and catching up with friends.

For the most part, besides the winter cold, life is a couple of decimal points over averagely good.

What about you? I don't think you have cold this time of the year...?

Aaaanyway, the translation is almost ready and I'm adding some small touches in particular when it comes to documentation.

However I don't know where to set it. A link from the Proyecto Pokédex page, perhaps? A demonstrative page with examples?

Don't worry, I can handle the translation, and should be up at the Pokéteca server next week.

As for the e-mail, I'm thinking of a Yahoo one. Not bad e-mail service, but I'd like if it added something else, and unfortunately Yahoo Messenger seems to be incompatible with all other "messenger" protocols. Will get back to you soon, I hope.

....Nice script! Let me analyze it further and handle the Spanish translation, should be useful for Pokéteca. I have a page on how to edit and transform the TM and leve move tables from Bulbapedia as well, but since I only linked it from the forum, I can't find it... and am too lazy to look for it...

Don't worry too much at the fall of PKStation. From what I gather, it was a mixture of external withering and internal conflict, but I can be mistaken. Still, it should be possible to more or less rebuild the community somewhere. I still have my fanfic of course, it's just that I'm waiting until joining another community before republishing it. I'm not so keen on publishing it here because it is in Spanish though, and I really don't want to bother with a translation for the time being as I'm busy translating Playfield the other way around, so it'll have to wait until I join somewhere else en Español de la Corona.

Now, to be honest, I'd rather you don't charge yourself too much on work because of the movesets. In my opinion, what we should be doing is calling the people of the Moves Project so that they take responsibility as well. It would give me more time to dedicate to what I really want to write about - technical descriptions, etymology and Nidorans. Planned to send the guys a message via Discussion, but haven't done so yet so that I dont come off as strong. As for the script, would love to haave it, ATM I'm working with regexes.

Well... it has been sad. You know, I published a fic there less than one month before it closed, so it is now lost to the intertube worms until I upload it elsewhere. I wanted to try and help the community rebuild or something.

Still, not all is lost. We are at Pokéteca, we are here, and I can send you another means for us to communicate privately as soon as I have them ready.

I'm also applying for a job at a videogame stand. I hope I get it...

A good thing then! I've been itching to come back to complete the Pokémon Etimology articles for 1st and 2nd gen, that if they haven't been deleted yet. Also, Nidos. They still need more love.

I kind of figured that on Pokabu. I had a mental list of "oh, I know, this guy X I know from site Y will surely pick Z as their Starter". I myself am rooting for Smug Snake (fan nickname) for the moment but if the final evos seem to follow the tradition of the Pokémon games (cutest base form → coolest final evo) then I'm going with the Water type. Can't remember the name right now.

Yeah, not only that sometimes I breed for people and modest is one of those common natures that people want. I had a modest Ditto but it wasn't compatible 'cause it wasn't "American" lol.
