  • Hey friend!
Take a look at my Pokémon Red - Gen. II Graphics Patch!
Play through the original Pokémon Red we all know and love with huge improvements such as all new sprites from GSC!
No more pixelated "grainy" back sprites!
It's kind of like a sneak-peak to alot of the features included in my main hack, Pokémon Prototype!
Leave your feedback in the hack's thread!
And while you're at it, tell your friends!
    Thanks a bunch!
I 'm glad you got through it! I 'm experiencing a multitude of technical difficulties on 'my computer so please bear with me as it 'll 'take me 'some time to get back to you ):
oh, wow, I literally just turned my vms back on! How exciting to get a message already. And no worries, I figured you were doing school stuff. :) Good luck! Sorry so stressful! Let me know if you could use a hand.
Yeah basically me too. I reallllllly need to lay it off a bit but oh my God Manchester is just too good a place to go out.
Heh, it's not that I really ~tried~ to be a rebel. I just always was one. And I was drunk in the exam because I'd been out drinking the night before and I didn't want to sit the exam hung over so I got drunk instead. If you think about it, it kinda worked...

Of course it will! I'll probably burn my loan there though.
Hahaha, I've shown up to exams pissed before lol. All good fun. Apparently there's a bar in my halls of residence too so that'll be awesome! I'll basically live in there.
Hm, alright then. I guess I don't want to take on too much at once.

When do you go back to uni anyway?
I'd forgotten that I left the tv on a comedy station. I suppose that excuses the absurdity of what I saw. :s

Having a good time is what's most important! Let me know if you ever want to collaborate on lesson plan ideas, I'd be happy to help out.

I see. I'll go for untouched copies then. I wonder if I can find pdf versions online. /is broke

That'd be awesome! Feel free to send some tunes my way, I'd love to hear your work. I...try with songwriting, haha. Perhaps with learning music theory I could do better, but so far it's shown to be a lot of effort to just get thrown away as a result of my insecurities as a creative writer.

That's awesome!!! :D I can't read music, otherwise I would. I can listen to certain songs and color-code the notes on a sheet of paper, I managed Claire de Lune that way, haha. Ooh The Christmas Song is my favorite Christmas song, in fact I've been practicing my own version of it to record. Not that my recordings are at all worth listening to. Do you commit to any performances around Christmas time? I spend most of the year practicing variations of Christmas songs for my family, my favorite to perform being O Holy Night.
Thanks! My interview was today, it went well, although I was a bit nervous. Oh wow I just looked at my tv to see a man pinching milk out of his nipple. Nauseating. Wait how is that real???

I'm sure they will be. It's easier to impress kids when you're young and talented; since you're both, I doubt you'll need a firm hand. If you get nothing out of it, which I doubt, it'll be at least be a job that stuffs your ego, haha. Gosh I can't even do simple addition/subtraction on the spot :x when I can't give customers correct change, I try distracting them with my skills as a linguist. That's really the only course in school I was ever good at.

*bookmarks* ooh thats cheap :o I wonder if I can find it at a used book store somewhere. Preferably at the price it's at on that website. Or I could just purchase it from that website.

Nice, so you sing too? Do you write lyrics along with your music? And Sufjan is a beast, he is extreeeemely talented. Before he converted to electronicy music his songs mostly involved the banjo, which I would love to learn. I find him unique not only for the variety of instruments he uses, but for his lyrics too- a lot of religious fantasy, I can easily get zoned out listening to him. It's like having a pop-up fairy tale book in your ears. Though distinguished as a folk artist I still find the guy underrated.

I love me some Vince Guaraldi. I actually have A Charlie Brown Christmas in my car's cd player, hahaha. Always soothing, I don't care what time of the year it is. I really love Christmas Time is Here.
I'll have you know I'm ridden with joy because there's a very high chance that I've snagged a teaching job with 5-7 year olds at an after-school day care *-* I hope to God I get this. *fingers crossed*

It's fun working with super-young age groups because all they want to do with instruments is make noise. I had my kids go outside once, collect pebbles, and we put the pebbles in between two disposable plates and stapled them together to make...I dunno...some breed of tambourine. It was their favorite class, haha; and the rest of the staff's worst headache. 11-13 year olds are taller than me and most of the time do math better than me so I struggle with that age group. Since you're a dude (I assume) you may have a better chance at earning their respect, haha.

Oh wow, that's encouraging information. One could probably apply music theory to things outside of music too. That's pretty cool...do you have any book suggestions or anything from that realm that I may use for a little pre-self-education?

Glad you liked the song. Gosh I love the Beach Boys, talk about awesome harmony and music structure- which just reminded me of an incredible song by Sufjan Stevens that I have to show you, who is usually more avant-garde/folk but brought a lot of electronic into this song:
    Spoiler:
also I want to show you a band real quick I think you might enjoy seeing as you enjoy 50's/60's *inspired stuff: LGFmC-ufpk0
Thanks for the support! I have reason to believe that I will.

I'm not familiar with the phrase 'money for old rope' :I I'm worried I'm exhibiting some serious ignorance here. Forgive me, haha. That's a great thing to have on your resume though, teaching. I loved it, I believe if I have a calling, teaching would be it. And I love that age group.

Ooh I was under the assumption we were both from the states. My bad, secondary school students being what age? The groups I taught were ages six to nine. The sax is a hell of an instrument. Wish I learned to play it...though I suppose there's still time. When I can afford it I'll definitely be taking a course. I'm just afraid my ability to play by ear will diminish.
I won't get too far into it, but I went on an unexpected medical leave and since have been struggling with corporate in regards to returning to work; this situation coincided with a sudden change in my living situation, which has caused me to enter the 'in debt' part of adulthood very early :(

I used to teach :) I'm thinking I might go back into it. I taught music to first and second graders. What are you teaching/what age group? I'd like to study the technical aspect of music so I can teach it to older age groups at some point, so far I just play music by ear. With that skill teaching children music comes easy.
