Please give it a try. I just don't like the idea of:

Get to region in position of having almost absolutely nothing - waiting for egg to hatch - not liking the pokemon - dumping it for another immediately

Because in reality, that psychic sonofabeech would follow your character, refusing to disbelieve you're not its mother.

So I highly recommend you just give it a try, who knows, you might just end up liking it. :3

Eh.... I'm not really liking the idea. And remember, it is still a creature. And at that, a baby. It can't really read minds unless you want it to. A pokemon is a pokemon, too. Whether it be a dog or bunny. And it would follow you too, being able to track you. So meh. Don't make it another character unless you want to.
