  • As far as I know, it's not possible. But you can edit the overworlds with BTX Editor and reinsert them to the narc with PPNFR (rebuilding the narc from a folder may crash the game).
Imd files are always exported with a texture section. However, when converting the imd to nsbmd with g3dcvtr, there are many command-line options, and one of them is to ignore the textures, resulting in textureless models like those in Pokémon maps. This is what you're probably looking for.

And yes, there are lots of overworlds. I'd recommend you to look for a tool with btx reading support, like Console Tool by Low Lines. You can open a narc and scroll through the files. It has a preview window, so it may be useful :)

Sounds cool. I'll definitely be looking forward to the demo and source!

When I saw this, I thought my game concept I have going would be perfect in this, so I'm anxious to try it. lol
Hi, I'm planning to make a software to build pokemon games for nds using the engine, like AdvanceMap. As the code will be open source, you can implement new functionnalities and share to other users.

For the moment, I'm writing the battle system and it takes a lot of time to insert all the stats. I planned to release a kind of remake of R/S/E up to the first badge as a proof of concept and I' ll releaae the source code at that time so people can start developping their own pokemon game.

I saw your NDS Pokémon engine, and I'm really intrigued in it. What plans do you have for it?
