I don't know a whole lot about Emerald to be honest, I primarily work with Fire Red. But if you are working with Emerald, I'd recommend asking DiegoIsAwesome, or Jambo51 as they are much more acquainted with the Emerald engine and ASM.

Basically, it calculates to the address of the lastresult variable in the RAM.
