Go ahead and completely shut off your system, wait 30 sec., and come back. I've asked someone else if they can pop in and make sure it's not just my connection. :)
Did you fully reset your system or just the game? Last time I saw this problem I didn't know what it was, but half an hour later the other person reset and finally we could trade.
You're in the right place now, but we're having a problem I've seen before. Try resetting your system and come back. If that doesn't work, I'll reset mine. Before coming back in, check that your DNS is 008.008.008.008 and 008.008.004.004 (Google Public DNIS; must agree to their TOS to use it, mind).
I can't connect SoulSilver since my connection isn't WEP, so I can't trade SoulSilver at home. I'd ask for one of those Jirachi's too. LMAO Someone else likely going to try with me 2morrow. Cloned a Lugia and offered that a moment ago.

I'll plan to be online around 8:30 my time (half an hour). Clones are in the PC, and I actually have seven cloned Pokémon nicely lined up in groups of 3 (2 usually suffices, I'll drop to that after the first of each traded). Heck, I've got some flawless Japanese Ditto in there, some Mews, some Pichus with Volt Tackle, shiny Event Larvitar (Lv.5), and shiny Sawsbuck all available and cloned; if there's anything else you want to part with, I can send any of these as well. Oh, and an entire box of Zoruas, half-filled with ones that know Night Daze at Lv.1, with a few females (legit. breeding). ;) If you want anything cloned, I can do that too!
