How did you started in the gaming world? I started playing flash games but growing up i installed games in pc and emulators to play console games, i've never had a console.
I also like red/blue, gold/silver and ruby/sapphire too.
Also do you played the 4th gen games? Because i had played them and like them equally, i am not really the guy who just hates every generation.
I think there were 4 months that i started my new save file, and in may of this year, i beated all the elite four of red and blue, but i have been into pokémon since late 2011-2012 when i played the red/blue for the first time, but i was so bad that i had to download save files with 151 pokemons in pokedex and all the elite four members beated, but i knew it wasn't fun and enjoyable so i think i quited playing pokémon like in 2013, but 5 years later in 2018, i come back to red/blue and just 100% the elite four, and i was so happy because before i was a "cheater" i used gameshark codes to get certain pokémon and i even knew it wasn't fun too, now that i have completed the elite four and finally catching mewtwo with a normal pokéball, there's other thing that is the pokédex, but i am too lazy to complete the dex.

Gen 5: Druddigon (I didn't played gen 5 but i think his design is cool)
Gen 6: Greninja and Pangoro (Because of the xy anime)
Gen 7: Incineroar

I like a lot of the gen 1 pokémon (except grimer and tangela since they are not really attractive to me).
