  • Yes I love how there are so many new colors and designs for duct tape now. It's amazing. I have skull duct tape.

I will be done with school after this year. I graduate college May 2013 [finally!] This is my 5th year in college.
Yup! I totally love school supply shopping too, I've always loved it; same with back to school clothes shopping! ^_^
Actually, I had White for maybe three months when it first came out. I found that there were many problems - it was a tedious process to level up, the menu interface was inconvenient, and the battle scenes were just ugly. Not to mention that I found the girl trainer's outfit to be way too revealing. I got so frustrated with it that I just ended up selling it. I'm not even sure I'm going to buy these new sequel games since the first ones were so bad. I will say that the graphics outside of battle were pretty good. And I'm one of those that really doesn't care about "generations"... each one had its good Pokemon and bad Pokemon IMO.

Let's see... I'm into listening to music (not so good at playing it though), watching anime, playing RPG games, and seeing pictures being done of my own trainer character. Currently I'm writing a Pokemon story starring said trainer, which is weird since I don't like reading or writing stuff much outside of the few Pokemon stories I've written :P

Oh yeah, I'm also into large classic American cars, the Quality Inn hotel chain, long drives down Interstates 85 and 77, and financial crime/fraud (reading and researching it, of course, and not actually committing the crimes xD But really though, I found myself oddly fascinated with the Bernie Madoff case lol)

I wish I had work, but I have several health problems as well as living out in the middle of nowhere. It's a pretty boring existence I lead because of it:/ So I actually don't get out to do much either, but it's because we live so far away from civilization...
Well, if you want to be in an RP that I'm in (don't know if you do, but it might be easier on you to know someone) I can only really recommend Pokemon: Rise of the Titans. It's a crossover with another book, but not all that difficult to figure out. I can also say that you might want to give Pokemon Trainer Academy a try, but it can get to be overwhelmingly large. There's a new RP called How to Train Your Pokemon as well, and it looks interesting, pluse the GM is awesome. Other than that, there's not a lot I can tell you to go for from my perspective, since you want Pokemon RPs with available spots. Does that help at all? x3
That's great! And there's plenty to do, even for people like me since I'm in one of my phases where I'm a bit bored with Pokemon at the moment. But there's always chatting with friends as well as places like other Voting Polls and the Daily Chit Chat which is where I hang out the most.

I only had wi-fi in the days of Pearl and Platinum since the USB wi-fi adapter worked in my old computer and I had my dorm's broadband connection at college. I had a lot of fun battling and trading back then, but honestly I'd probably be creamed if I tried it now since I never did get used to the new games' Pokemon, new moves, and new items...

So, what are your thoughts on the new Pokemon games? And since I mentioned it earlier, what kinds of non-Pokemon things are you into?
Alright, well I'm not sure if anyone has already answered this question for you, but to get started in RPing all you need to do, for the most part, is find an RP you want to join and post on the thread that says it's accepting SUs (sign-ups). Obviously you're going to want to either post your sign up form or just say you're expressing interest since most RPs don't take reservations that I've seen.

Okay, so if you need some help with SUs then I'll come back to that, but that's about it. I generally look for new RPs when they come out, personally. I'm not quiiite sure what you mean by choosing my posts though.
Yes I do like Nintendo stuff and drawing it! ^_^
Maurice's is a good store, but some of their clothes don't fit me right. :\ I usually go to JC Penneys or Kohl's. I don't know how to describe my style. I like to wear comfy, yet "cute" clothes. I love leggings and I'll wear those with hoodies a lot. During the summer I wear fun tank tops with comfy shorts. I also love skinny jeans with boots during the fall and winter. Oh and I love scarves! ^_^ Heh.

As far as Nintendo systems go, I own an NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy pocket, GBA, DS, and my brother has a PS2. I've grown up with Nintendo all my life. ^_^
And crafts I like to do? Well I have painted some wooden letters for a literacy class last year, and I do like paper mache too! I haven't done much, but I do enjoy it when I can!

Also, have you ever tried making things out of duck tape? That's always a fun craft to do. I made a flower pen before.
No problem at all. I had no idea how VMs worked when I first joined either. So do you think you'll be getting a mentor then? If you are, what section will you be choosing?

Oh, and thank you so much for the compliment. You have no idea how much that means to me. There are a lot of wonderful RPers here, though, and I would definitely recommend checking them out. Most of them are ten times better at writing than I am, and they write some amazing stuff.
You and I, we sound very much alike I must say! :] That's awesome.

Oooh so you're into music? I can't carry a tune to save my life! What places do you like to shop at? I love JC Penneys and Kohl's for my clothes.

What do I like to do? Well I also like to draw [mostly Nintendo stuff], I play Nintendo as well. I also am getting more into doing crafts, which is a lot of fun.
That's a huge help thank you! It's cool to know I'm not the only one whose new here. However, I can't say I've played the games for as long as probably 98 percent of the whole forum xD I would love for you to help me out along the way. I have quite a few questions actually, I suppose I should ask those in a private message?
Yeah first graders are too cute, I love that age. Kindergarten is also a lot of fun as well!
Oh man, yeah I'm in a community college as well. I am going for my Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Ed. :) It's a pretty new program at my school.

So what sorts of things do you like to do?
Oh my, I'm sorry. I didn't notice you had replied to me since it was on your own profile. Here's my response, in any case. If you need a ton of help with Wi-Fi then a mentor would probably be a good start, but they can only help you so much, understand. Mentors are here mostly for the sake of guiding you around the section of the forum you intend to frequent. Both battling and trading have their own area of the forum, though, so you would have to pick one when getting a mentor.

I think you should at least try anything you might like, anyways. PC's a great place.
They are probably the same test just different names. it's awesome that you get to student teach soon! First Graders are so cute:) I did some practicum in a 1st grade class and I loved how they thought I was so so smart and that I'm super tall. haha . I will actually be 23 at the end of this month. I ended up graduating from a 2 year community college this last spring after 4 years of classes. I only have an associates in Liberal Arts (pretty much gen-eds) so now I'm just working to saw money for school while I decide where i want to go at the same time.
Oh are you talking about the PRAXIS test? I had to take that which was very similar to the SAT...it took me 4 times to pass it. :\ That's why I couldn't graduate last spring, because I was set back a whole year. This is my fifth year in college now, and I'll be student teaching with first grade next spring! :]

I'm happy to see someone else my age interested in teaching and video games! ^_^ How old are you? I'm 23.
Oh hello! Nice to meet you! ^_^
Yes I am going to be a teacher, I love working with children. Ah, so what do you mean by the basic skills scared you away? :[
So you like working with children too?
Haha It was really late for me too last night. I responded and crashed:) And about Wi-Fi battles.... I never actually had a chance to do that. I would really like to get involved in all of that. I wouldn't mind battling but I would totally be up for trades. Would you advice me signing up for a mentor? I mean I know how to navigate the message boards, but I am totally in the stone age when it comes to Wifi and stuff. I need to become more technological.
