Why didn't you like May/Dawn in the anime? I read your post in that thread but I don't see why you feel they were Mary sue types. I also don't get why May made you stop watching, she had the funny outgoing personality with a mix of tomboyish/girly traits and was one of the most developed characters, and Dawn followed similar. What oddly made you dislike them?

You don’t have to try it out :P it’s a feature that will eventually be rolled out. As far as color you like - do you mean like the background color on the forum? If so..yeah, I think they’re eventually going to begin posting over old themes to the New User Interface.

Anyway, it’s all good re: the director. I worked with her from 2012 to 2017, so there was a lot of pent up..frustration.

    How’s it going?

that is wild and i literally cannot related but lowkey wish i could. i would love to pack up and move to a different country just for the experience! yeah, the main person I'm referring to was the director - she uh. Well.....she was just kind of .... awful to say the very least. Without going too far into it, she was just a mediocre director, and every production i ever did with her was beyond stressful. There were SEVERAL shows that we opened that our first FULL run through as a cast was OPENING NIGHT.

we were all kinda fed up with it, so...yeah. here we are over a year later with our own group. it's challenging, but it's fun. i really enjoy directing!!

that's....wild. I can't even imagine being able to do that! i'm insanely jealous lol. i got into community theatre because i love acting! i got involved with one group, and then a few yers later a new group was formed with people from the other group who hated the main person involved with the former group! This is our fourth production so far - I've been involved in all 4 to some extent. I acted in the first show, directed the second show, had to fill in for the lead character in the third show for one performance, and now I'm directing the 4th show. I think I'll be assistant directing with the next show, though.

It's a lot of fun, odd as it sounds, it gets me outta the house more. Like, I go out with friends and whatnot, but I work from home so my socialization sometimes feels very limited lmao.

Ah, are you moving back home? Or elsewhere? I’ve been well, just busy with work and now rehearsals. I’m directing a production of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap for community theatre. It’s fun but tiring.

Yeah, I mainly avoid it because I don't want to put on weight. 'Cause I've got terrible joints and a bad back, so there's not a whole lot of exercise going on at the moment.

Ahh, hot weather! It does make getting up a lot easier, doesn't it? And it's generally so much more fun. Winter-time is cramps, chilblains and a perpetually damp pillow. It's horrible. Best part about it is the freedom to have as many showers as you want...! Just so as long as the drain isn't clogged up from all the rain. But this year I'm going to go do exercise in the drizzle, no fear. Friggin' weather! Friggin' spine! Don't even get me started on my knees.

Normal lives are bollocks. If you don't start a band, kiss a dog, get thrown out of rehab, accidentally marry your enemy, become a martial arts master and then go live in the Northern Circle after touring Africa and doing philanthropy, it isn't even worth dealing with. Offices should never come into it, nor lawns.

... and I'm trying to write a monologue for an upcoming competition but they are not my strong suit. 'Cause they shouldn't be too fancy, right? Or should they? Well, I wouldn't want to overwhelm the poor actor if I do win, with flowery yards of wordy, profound garbage.

Once had a pretty naughty stint with junk food, which is completely over. Rice and tea, am I right? And the occasional wad of chocolate cake because no one is perfect. But yeah, alcohol is best reserved for medicinal purposes. It's great for a sore throat when the flu rolls 'round, or clogged sinuses or whatever. Beyond that, just take Methylenedioxymethamphetamine! Perfect.

Ehh, it's half fixed. But thanks. And I'm usually pretty active at night, too, which is unfortunate because the night time sucks and is limiting, whereas the morning is bright and free...! And horrible. Has anyone ever got up at 9 AM and not been out-of-their-mind tired? It'd ridiculous. Plus the natural expectation is to do work, as opposed to sit around and write about Star Wars. Life is psyducked up that way. We're supposed to burn up our youth on labour just so that we can have a lawn and a dog when we're old. Can't we just be happy hobos and cut out the gruelling fifty years of screwing around in offices, trying to make a living?

Never had a hangover. I mean, I've tried, but milk and Bailey's just don't do it like vodka and Red Bull. Still, its probably horrible. Nausea and headaches and dizziness. It sounds like Nature's way of telling you what not to do.

Ha, I've also had pure pink puke on a ferry. The guy behind me was giving me vomiting advice. There's also been cars, buses, beds, baths, buckets, salad bowls, lawns... it sounds like I regularly stick a finger down my throat, huh. And I stepped in someone else's gritty vomit, too. This conversation is disgusting but I'm enjoying it.

Same - I haven't brushed my teeth yet and the clock is pushing insanity. And I'm a bit of a privacy bear so there'll be no confirming nor denying on the GMT front, but yeah, good little boys and girls should definitely be in bed right about now. I've been sleep deprived for about five days now. It's hysterical. (There are so many i's in this post, it feels self-centred as heck lmao)

Still, have a good sleep! I'm going to crawl into my dream rectangle soon, too, before these eye bags become permanent. Goodnight!

Lmao, I can just picture this guy hacking up lunch near an incomprehensibly huge golden Buddha, while monks roll their eyes in the foreground. It'd make a great album cover, if nothing else.

But yeah, I feel you. I once threw up in the middle of the supermarket. Splat. Everywhere. Not quite sacrilege but hey, I bet lots of religious persons have thrown up in places they shouldn't have.

    Anyhoo, hallo! What's up?

What do you work as if you don't mind me asking? :o And yeah, the metro system there is great! Much better than trying to drive around at least, peak hour traffic there is not great especially on the highways.

Have done a little bit of travelling but not too much! Do you have any favourite spots in Guangzhou / have you experienced any other Chinese cities? I've been to Beijing and Shanghai before - we mostly went sightseeing and ended up going to famous spots such as the Great Wall, Forbidden City etc. Also spent New Year's in Shanghai which was kinda cool. :D

Oh 3 years is a long time! Have you been working there, or did you move to Guangzhou? I've been there a few times to visit family - I think the last time I went was 2 years ago. It really is a nice city but very different from what I'm used to back at home :p The city seems so massive and like you could get lost fairly easily but it's also quite charming in another sense.
