It's a quite nice resource. But I guess you used something as a base, right? Since I think I recognize a big part of this from somewhere...

I have no idea, just try stuff out in the tools after you've clicked 'go advanced'

There are some unused tilesets, I think 33 is one of them. I don't know how to add new ones.

Yes, of course. Kyledove has made pretty good desert tiles.

Look for the Generation III Rom Hacking Series by Anthroyd, he made great video tutorials for beginning Rom hackers

The number where you inserted. Try inserting your OW in a clean rom.

What's the slot number? I prefer hacking FR because it has Dynamic Pallete System. Your problem must be related to pallete.

As stated in the tutorial, the first time you open a certain rom it can take a long time to load because the tool has to repoint a lot of stuff. And use Fire Red 1.0 instead of 1.1, that's the base most people use.

No, just check for an elevator script in any of the original roms and work from there;)

    Hi Alan,

Since AdvanceMap is only capable of showing the default palettes of the original Roms, new overworld sprites will have deformed colors but should show up correctly in-game.
Unfortunately you're very limited in adding overworlds with a new palette in Emerald, because the lack of dynamic palettes in Emerald by default.'

If you don't understand any of this I suggest to follow this tutorial:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_XYSOQruq8&t=3s

If you're planning on adding a lot of new overworld sprites I would suggest using Fire Red instead of Emerald, since Navenatox made a dynamic palettes patch for Fire Red.

    Hope this helps

Unfortunately I'm not sure why that's happening. Everything looks okay to me in Overworld Manager. The only suggestion I can give you is to try to replace a different sprite in Overworld Manager instead of inserting your new sprite in position 255. In other words, try replacing a sprite that already exists that you won't be using in your hack.

If that doesn't work, then I suggest posting your issue (along with the imgur screenshots) to PokeCommunity's ROM hacking Q&A section, asking about it in the ROM hacking Discord channel, or contacting the creator of Overworld Manager.

Sorry I couldn't help beyond those suggestions.

    Hi Alan!

So: I do know that Overworld Manager may cause some issues with palletes in AdvanceMap. However, this shouldn't affect what you see in-game. The palette of your sprite may be messed up in AMap but when you're playing the game, it should be okay.

I don't think this is an issue with Overworld Manager, but with AMap, since AMap is not configured to handle all of the extra palettes that Overworld Manager adds to the game. If you can get past this quirk, everything should be okay. As a side note, you do not need to index your overworld sprites with IrfanView when you use Overworld Manager--it will do the indexing for you.

I don't really understand what you mean by "the player's sprite is standing at the place of my new sprite." If you could clarify, I might be able to help, but of course no guarantees.
