    Dearest,

How are you? The Christmas hour draws closer!

I'm beginning that winter club so if you wish to share any of your decorations our doors will be open to you in Clubhouses. We just got our tree yesterday, and ore burning copal and frankincense and myrhh.

Sitting by the tree reading sounds sublime. I went with my aunt and uncle recently to a musical staging of Christmas Carol in our community, and I was impressed by how much of the dialogue from the book was incoporated. It has gotten me in the mood to read a Christmas Carol again. It is wonderful! I love Charles Dickens. i have read A Tale of Two Cities too, and need to get started on many more.

I have not seen The Family Stone, but it looks heartwarming. I really enjoyed seeing Disney's Nutcracker in theaters. This weekend I will be watching the Chronicles of Narnia of Movies. It isn't aired too often during the Holidays, even though C.S Lewis wrote it as a Christian allegory, and the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe even has Santa Claus in it. My favorite entry in the film series is Prince Caspian.

You juggle a whole lot girl, between high school, volunteering, work and maybe even preparing for college. Its almost like there are two of you. Are you sure that you are not using a time-turner to do it all like Hermione Granger in Harry Potter? :)

That gingerbread scented candle sounds exciting! I would like to buy a little gingerbread house to assemble for Christmas. I baked my last batch of gingerbread cookies for my dad. My parents are divorced I may have mentioned. My dad usually likes to travel to warm climates during Christmas because the cold doesn't agree with him. He'll pick places like Jamaica or Cuba, as tropical as he can get. Right now he is at the beach. So I baked him tins full of gingerbread to take with him because it is his favorite. He did invite me to go with him, but I dunno. I guess I'm more of a homebody and would rather stay surrounded by friends here, at least on the holiday. My dad is traveling to Kilimanjaro this summer, and I'm coming with him. I bought him for Christmas a replica of a west African sword I ordered from Novica as a reminder of our travels.

Perfume is also a great gift! I would love some! I never give it as gift though because I am a bit of a hedonist and want to greedily keep it for myself. I keep an apothecary of essential oils on hand, lavender, rose, pine, lemon, jasmine, clove, ginger, peppermint.

Hopefully Michelle's memoirs are a nice read for your family. I usually don't go heavily into politics, but I feel compelled to say that the Obamas were a very nice face for America, it was a little like having the Kennedy family again, beautiful, charismatic, intelligent, friendly. As a progressive there are some things I wish Obama had done differently, like passing a public option at least through reconciliation. I believe healthcare is a human right no matter how poor you may he. I also wish he had named Hillary to the supreme court instead of secretary of state. I think she was too much of war hawk for that position. That being said, I would still like to go back to the Obama years. I think the Paris Climate agreement was a step in the right direction for environmental. I think Obama was good on many social issues as well and hope that a Candidate closer to him will emerge in 2020 in the US.

As for cosmetic shopping, I'd love to know what eye shadow pallet you picked out. I may have mentioned this before, but I was in uniformed schools since elementary, so now that I am free to be who I want I just love makeup and clothes and a chance to express myself through visuals in a way that I wasn't always allowed to.

What I bought for my mom for Christmas was a uv light indoor planter to grow herbs in. She loves to garden, and has had her eyes on this same model for awhile. It has a copper finish, and she loves that look for her kitchen.

Yes, my mom was something of an idol for me in my youngest years. Such a beautiful and talented lady, generous and a lot of fun, spoils me rotten. That doesn't mean we never disagree on things. Sometimes money issues become a problem, and we have some political differences, her views are evolving more conservatively, which I hear is not usually as we age. But I love to hang out with her, we talk everyday. She's told me a lot of interesting stories about her life and many travels and adventures and colorful people she has met. We can always talk about a movie together or anything. She was really helpful to me this fall when I was going through some issues with an ex-boyfriend, opening up about her own life. She helped me get out of a situation that I now understand as I study psychology was quite dangerous.

I haven't traveled to Italy yet, but I did volunteer abroad in Spain. I loved the Reina Sofia musuem, and the food and the metro systems. If only the states would get on board with efficient mass transportation. It can be a problem outside of New York and D.C.

One place I really would like to go is the U.K. my dad's been there before, and he decided that so the flight to Africa isn't too long we are going to stop over in Europe, just chill ij London for a few days, hop a bullet train to France, and from there on cross the Mediterranean and go to Africa.

I'm curious about the United Kingdom for the rich Celtic music. I also want to see Shakespeare performed at the Globe Theater. My dad also sayshehad a lot of fun in Ireland.

There are many places I want to go though. I am really interested in visiting Japan. And my new boyfriend shares an avid love of travel with me, and we have talked about possibly even going there together some day. I want to see Noh plays, sit in a tea house, partake in festivals, visit Shinto shrines, maybe sup with the legendary chef Jiro.

This message was the "future sight" of emails it was delayed awhile, and when it finally came it was enormous base power...by that I mean really long. Sorry for talking your ear off Ninetales, but I missed you and had quite a bit of catching up to do to answer your different vms all in one jumbo-size message. If you need time to recharge and respond feel free.

I hope you had a really awesome birthday!

    -Sam

Hi Lina! I know your b-day was the 9th. But I never got the chance to give you a big hug with the site being down. What I can do is offer you a birthday coupon for my breeding services. I specialize in hidden ability Pokemon so if you need say a snow warning or drought Vulpix or perhaps a different pokemon you fancy, just know that you will be welcomed as a very special guest. The ivs are always good from me. My doors are always open to you lovely Lina! I'll answer my overdue pms too. Maybe I'll combine them into one foot-long subway sandwich of an email.

    Lina!!

It sure is the start of a wonderful time of year! Bless you!

Its been awhile since I've replied. I've let me profile messages and inbox turn into a sort of overgrown garden. I am sorry, it seems whenever you pay me a visit things have been disorganized. But I am so very excited too.

I've got the Christmas spirit. At home we are lighting candles daily, serving punch and hot cider, and I learned how to make gingerbread. Mother has fresh frankincense and myrhh burning. There's peppermint candy all about, the winter plants have come into bloom now and I'll buy a cinnamon broom soon. In good time we will drag our the reindeer on the lawn and the lights. I saw the Nutcracker movie on Black Friday, which I liked a lot. Also on Christmas Eve my whole family is getting together to see a play of A Christmas Carol in the community, and then have dinner. I will be seeing aunts, uncles cousins. I'm just getting started. There's a bunch of goodies I haven't even mentioned yet.

I've not only started my Christmas shopping, I have finished it! Black Friday is where its at if you want to save money! I have everybody's present, I just need to get giftwrapping and cards. Want to gossip about what we've picked out for our loved ones?

I still owe you a response to an earlier profile message. I'll write it later just so this one doesn't get too long, but I won't forget. Thanks sp much for your message, and spreading some Christmas cheer.

It is neat finding out that you are a December baby. When is your birthday hun? *wink, hint*

    With love,

    -Sam

P.S Your profile's looking cute with Christmas colors, and a bright, snazzy new avvie.
