You'll need a good antagonist for the PCs to ultimately stand against. Because while sandbox is good, it does need some direction. Someone that has the same kinds of powers as the party. Because self made enemies never have a chance of winning in a situation like this. but that would not even need to be revealed until they reach the ultimate destination. But regardless, it still looks good to me

Sounds awesome. And I know I would be the first to abandon the Knights and go my own way. Also I think the armor shouldn't be restricted only to Plate. it should be all kinds of armor. the nimble footed knight that weilds a fencing blade would be sol now would he not? Plate armor would hinder him, restricting his movements. And I think that our "Heroes" should start with very basic weaponry and they grow and gain new abilities as time goes on.
