Did you know DNA from PokeBeach? He had this custom feature on the PB chat called the DNA-Dex (when he was still there anyways... I heard he left sometime after I got banned). He wrote completely new entries for all of the Pokémon up to Gen V and they were pretty interesting.

I also tried doing something for my Ronac Fakedex before I switched computers and decided to just stop doing it. I had a whole Word file dedicated to the Ronac info on preexisting Pokémon that could be found in Ronac in addition to my Fakemon.

Makes sense, being a hack maker and all. For my means, I need art, preferably actual refs. I have had a couple others do regular pics for me, but the site they're on is down atm... >.>

Yep! The artist is super nice. He agreed to do a few more in that style of my other Fakemon "ballooned" or "pooltoy-ed." Alas, he hasn't gotten to them yet. He's pretty busy.

Ah, yeah, that is good. Coincidentally, I finally found some people who offered to redraw my Fakemon too. One, though, kind of specializes in a really weird art form. Well, rather than tell you, I'll show you: http://www.pokecommunity.com/picture.php?albumid=9106&pictureid=77249 Kind of funny because the Fakemon/OC in question (Chip Erminfyr aka Weasinge) is afraid of inflation! :P

Neither is my legendary Fakemon Cyobrus (which is based on Cerberus), but when people read its description (a monstrous 23-foot-tall gray-furred wolf with three heads colored red, green, and black situated atop a rotating copper plate, which spins around on its thick neck, that also has a callused body with enormous spikes jutting from his back and a long tail with a seven-spiked mace at its tip), they immediately called him "Houndoom on steroids." :P

Electric-type dog perhaps? Also, yeah, I'm still into reading/critiquing stories, though I'm no longer actively writing my own stuff.

Coincidentally, I have had a few people ask for me to write a few short stories for them on Furaffinity (I'd link a recent Pokémon-related example, but the site's having issues today... >.>).

Mmm, sounds like...The Inheritance Cycle? No, The Inheritance Cycle was completely different and totally fell apart plot-wise after Book 1-Eragon.

Oh, have you made an outline for the general plot? It's a good way to keep focused, even if you don't stay entirely on track with it.

On a side note, I had something similar planned for Feral Twilight too, but they were separate parts to the same Book. Part One was Lost in Longing, focused on Jay's lust for vengeance against his sister after he lost his title to her (the theme tying into the in-story deity Corros's symbolism of greed/envy/lust/etc.); Part Two was Found in Fury, and focused on Jay's growing anger during his quest to stop Otulp's ultimate ambition to destroy humanity (symbolic of the deity Vaspudem's theme of fury/rage/hatred/etc.); Part Three would've been Tried by Terror, where Jay finally gained the means to confront Otulp only to a serious personal loss (Otulp is symbolic of fear/terror/anguish/etc. in the story); and Part Four was to be The Lost Goddess, which was sort of an epilogue where Jay goes on a mission to reawaken the spirituality of the three gods' mother (whom is an all-powerful being that forsook her emotions to become an entity of pure logic). Ultimately, I think it may've just fallen apart by Part Three because the plot was way too lengthy to keep together without massive revisions to the entire story from the beginning.

...Ick, sorry for all this story talk... I really intend to focus on helping you, if you need advice. I just have a bad tendency to get caught up in nostalgia...

Mmm, I wouldn't say that spoils anything. I've written really elaborate stories with extensive backgrounds too, and that sounds like the setup for a very extensive history. Judging by your prologue, though, you've got a long story ahead of you. It's almost comparable to Feral Twilight, wherein my main character Jay Christie only happened to become wrapped up in a terrifying conflict between the "old gods" from Ronac's mythology and the "new gods" from Sinnoh's creation myth (the prospect being that Otulp, a phantom wolf, considers Arceus an imposter deity seeking dominance over all life, while he in turn seeks to enforce his reign over everything as well). I could never get the plot going in full, though... :/

Any particular theology there? The best legendaries tie some kind of religious symbolism into their existence (i.e. Palkia and Dialga were gods in ancient Sinnoh. Likewise, Ho-oh was considered somewhat of a deity too). I've always found that sort symbolism plays very well into fanfics, such as the case of my Fakemon Otulp and his sisters who were consider the "God of Memories" by the indigenous peoples of my Ronac Region.

Yes, I did! That's a very good descriptive/narrative tactic. I've even gone so far as to describe my legendaries like that in my old fanfics (leaving an air of mystery to them to entice people to read on). Little tricks like that will keep people coming back to read, I assure you that.

Yep, no rush. It'll just be a light proofread.

Need a proofreader, or are you good? I'll take a moment to look it over for minor errors and the like, but I promise not to go overboard and tear it apart like I used to. I've actually made it a point to stop being overly thorough.

That's good. Wish I could say the same, but I put Feral Twilight and Biohazard away for good...

Yeah, Lickilicky and Tangrowth were kind of a waste... >.> I'm not too fond of Magmortar or Electivire either, but at least they're useful. Rhyperior was different to me because it wasn't so blatantly made just as a filler. It's a terrifying wall to be put up against if you know how to format its EVs and Moveset correctly.

Aye, sorry, but I have to disagree. Any Pokémon that evolves from a previous gen Pokémon can be portrayed as one from the previous region. That's at least the justification for it in the HG/SS remakes, and the PWT in Black/White 2. Then again, I've always been more into the later gens than the initial installments (even though I technically started in Gen 2). Ultimately, it's your call, though. I just wanted to put forth some ideas.
