  • I felt like doing that myself because of a cold I'm just now getting over xD

I hardly ever poison anyone outside of it activating due to Sludge Bomb. Sleep is definitely my preferred way of disabling stuff too so they can't attack me... only problem is I don't always train Pokemon that are capable of sleep since I actually don't use Grass as much as other types.
Go for it! At least you'll have plenty of options to disable your tougher opponents with sleep and paralysis :P

Thanks :) I'm feeling well enough to come on for a few minutes every so often, but I still have a pretty nasty headache :/ And my nose has been runny for three days straight. My medicine's making me drowsy as well, so needless to say, I've felt better:P
Yeah, and Koga, Blaine, and Lorelei are gonna be especially tough... Well, keep me updated on how your run goes :)

In other news, I've caught a cold, meaning I feel awful and the medicine is making my mind hazy :/
Pretty much I use only "Ashley" or "Lisa" as my character names xD. And I haven't played the older games in awhile (they're either lost or the battery has gone dead and they don't save anymore), but I do remember naming my character in XD Gale of Darkness "Victor" because you only had the boy in it.

Okay, have fun and good luck on your run! I would think Grass only would provide a good challenge since they do have several big type weaknesses.
LOL I'm a pretty big car person (I still believe the Unova region was named in honor of the Chevrolet Nova xD) but calling my Pokemon names like "Delta 88" and "Crown Vic" just starting getting weird after awhile :P At least it wasn't bad as my previous attempt to name them after hotel chains lol Regular names are all I come up with, but I still at least like to give them those nicknames. I can't remember all my nicknames, but I know that the resident cat Pokemon on my team is always a female named "Ashley" or "Lisa." Even if my trainer has the same name :P
I usually don't have legendaries on ym team (i.e., in White I deposited the dragon instead of using it against N).

I used the Red Gyarados as an HM slave in Soul Silver. Simply because I didn't want to saddle Starmie with three Water moves.

I nickname them, but usually just generic boy/girl names. Right now in Leaf Green I have Pokemon named Marvin, Ashley, and Cassie :P I'm no good with coming up with more complex names. I did try nicknaming them after cars in White, but I soon dropped that idea xD
I know I had two Normal-types on my Soul Silver team (Persian and Pidgeot, the latter because I needed a Flyer; the others were Typhlosion, Starmie, Golem, and Ampharos) and one of my old White teams (Samurott, Zebstrika, Archeops, Renuclius, Liepard, and Krookodile, the latter two being both Dark). Otherwise, I do try to avoid having overlapping types... I just found making good teams was much harder in B/W.

As far as types on my team, I always have my water, electric, and ground types on me. As well as (usually) a cat-like Pokemon. I typically don't use HM slaves, either.
I've actually found that a bunch of my teams have glaring Ice weaknesses (My Leaf Green team of Blastoise, Persian, Nidoking, Electrode, Dragonite, and Exeggutor for example; or my White team of Samurott, Liepard, Eelektross, Golurk, Lilligant, and Archeops.) with three weak against Ice.

Probably my favorite teams were my Platinum team (Empoleon, Crobat, Dusknoir, Jolteon, Persian, and Flygon) or my XD Gale of Darkness team (Jolteon, Crobat, Persian, Dusclops, Walrein, and Flygon). And yes, there were a lot of similiarities between those two teams :P
Oh, I always plan out my teams beforehand, to make sure all my bases are covered and so I'm never wondering who's going to fill what role. In general I like to plan out things beforehand.

Of course, with games such as Leaf Green that I've played through repeatedly, I already know who I want to train :P
Great! This is an awesome place to hang out, meet other Poke-fans and have fun. I actually... never have attempted any sort of chjallenge run like that... I prefer using my classic team of six diverse Pokemon lol

It took me awhile to get my profile the way I like it, but once I did, I haven't touched it since.
