So, you like Fire-Types? That's amazing! Because that's one of my favourites too! It's quite funny we bumped into each other, as I am the owner of the Fire-Type Fan Club.
As for Charizard, that's awesome too.
There is an Adoption Center in NU/W (New Users/Welcome) which gives you a mentor, who guides you around the forums and tells you what they are. We do have a Trading Center around here somewhere, so don't worry!
There is also the New Users' Hangout in NU/W (New Users/Welcome) where new users from all over Pokecommunity hang out to have a chat. There is also a Javachat, which you can find simply by pressing the "Chat" link, and some members from Pokecommunity chat there. Of course, some people will have nicknames.
